Paul Bosvelt

A deflected goal against Spurs in THAT game....

2.38... apart from that not a lot I'm afraid! He was a bit past it when he signed for City but you could tell he would have been a good player.

I remember he was very average in his first season but superb in his second. One game that stands out is the 4-1 v the rags. They looked like they might be getting back into it when they scored to make it 2-1 but he almost single-handedly held them at bay.

Plus the deflected 2nd goal at Spurs in the 4-3.

had a great game in the 4/1 derby at eatlands, also in the tottingham fa cup come back, a slow player but had decent vision, i thought he did ok in a mediocre side, never complained a real good pro?

I remember him being probably signed too late. Had some good games when he was fit, but I think struggled a bit with injury. When he had good games though, the team played well.

He was immense.

A real shame we got him late in his career.

Technically one of the best midfielders we ever had with great ability to break play up and distribution was solid.

To think we had him and Foe before the takeover.who said we've no history!

Ahh I thought he done ok. Had a disagreement with a blue earlier on when we were discussing our possible midfield for next season. He mentioned that we used to have shit like Reyna and Bosvelt and how we've came so far. My immediate thought was that Bosvelt never fared too shabby.

The Rags hated him too! I seem to remember he snapped one them in half in a Chumps League game before he signed for us! Agree with all the other post!

He could and possibly should have been Player of the Year in his second season, a very intelligent footballer who did a good solid job in the NDJ position.
