Great stuff. I went to the Edgeley Park gig last year and it’s definitely up there as one of the best gigs I’ve ever attended which is some doing as I’ve seen some utterly cracking bands down the years. It probably helped that we had a good spot in the Cheadle End with a quick route to and from the bar and sensible stewarding, whereas other concerts that should’ve been up there with the best of them have been ruined by a combination of shit views, shit bar service, and shit stewarding. Arcade Fire at Castlefield 3 years ago and The Cure at the Arena the year before are 2 examples. Nothing wrong with the bands themselves who smashed it but the overall gig experience was worse than wank.I saw them on a weekend trip to Brussels.
They had just sold out Snackpot County’ ground (10k) and the Brussels show was very intimate, couldn’t have been more than a hundred at the venue. It was absolutely brilliant
