Paul Lake. The movie ?

Re: Paul Lake .The movie ?

What about teaming up with the best England early 1990s midfielder over 6'3" and the Brazilian midfielder around the same time?

Emerson, Lake and Palmer... has a ring to it!

He said filming would start in 2016. Mentioned he already has agreement for Oasis and Marr 2 songs to be part of the soundtrack. Champagne super nova, can't remember smiths track.
wow.only about 20 pages into the book but believe its an excellent read.wonder where they will find to use as Maine road ?
Any ideas who could play Paul hope its a. Manc actor.maybe someone from shameless or even corrie ?
Hillsborough is the only ground that I can think of that looks anything like Maine Road.

I'm sure there's plenty of old footage you could use without showing his face(close ups edited in using whoever's the actor). It will be a lot easier to do than disguising a stadium I'd of thought.

I agree, Hilsborough is the closest I can think of to Maine Road, Goodison is probably the next closest.

The trouble using old footage is the quality of what it was filmed on when cut with the new stuff makes it a mess.don't think it works for me.
If the book is as good as people say and it gets a proper good madchester soundtrack it could go on to be a big success ?

Just thinking which ground did he get injured on anyway ? And breakdown on was one villa park ?

No the ground he was initially injured on was Maine Road against Villa. His second breakdown was away at Boro.

So will the Con club in Haughton Green be used?
My Grans black and white collie/cross Shep needs to be in the film - especially as it chased footballs and honed the Lake family children's possession skills.

Just found this on YouTube[88/89] Manchester City v Leicester, Mar 11th 1989: http://youtu.be/tEqYx2EInOo , brought back some memories
