I have just ordered his book

Remember when I was 14 and the leg shaking. Prob first time I felt genuinely worried for a player.

Fellow old farts in the north stand were also on tenterhooks

Had it a day and half way through it...I need to slow down and make it last!.....The chapter on the 5-1 gave me goosebumps. Unfortunatley I am about to read the sad part.

Listened to a few interviews. Chilling but heart felt.

Like a good book should always be. I Felt from the interviews I should give something back to him

It takes a brave and a proud man to bare his soul

You do not need to prove yourself Lakey.

I await your book with anticipation

I don't remember him playing, started going in the early 90s but I missed him by a year or so. When I first went as a young kid he was in the squad but injured and never recovered.

However reading his book has opened my eyes to just how bad his ordeal was. It's really moved me and to think one split second changed his life forever. Not to mention the treatment he got from the club which it seems was nowhere near good enough. I get the impression he's treated far better by the club now as an ex player than he ever was in his days as a player. But that's life.

One of us though, and as a blue I'm very proud of that.

Play are taking their time to send me this, they'd better hurry up as I need it to pass a 7 hour flight

Can't wait to read it it's been universally praised

Just ordered my copy from Amazon and Once In A Blue Moon by Steve Worthington.

Looking forward to reading them both.
