I read the book on Holiday-its a really good read.Paul is always one of us,a total gent too,and a fellow Dentonian.Poor lad had such dreadfull luck,saw him play-an absoloute Star.He would have captained England-no question.

His personal duel with his England U-21 mate Gazza in a game against Spurs at Maine Road was one of my favourite memories of Lakey. I think Spurs played in their yellow away kit. I used to have the ITV highlights on tape and at one stage they started kicking off with each other, so Gazza started pulling his ears out to take the piss out of our Paul. A crying shame that we never saw the best of either player
