I'm with you on that one: just never understood the appeal. Although having said that I do do the Lottery now and again.I was at my uncles funeral the other week and I met my cousin who I had not seen for years. He asked me how I was and asked him how he was and as we got chatting he announced that he had not had a bet for 17 months, not being a gambler, I can’t get my head around giving money to a stranger with a good chance of getting nothing back. He must have had a problem with it, he was telling me how he missed the buzz of winning. If you aren’t wired like that I suppose you will never understand, I know I don’t.
That's no excuse. You should have sobered up first.I'd gone off piste after reading some other posts.
I went to Vegas last month. 7 nights and didn't spend one cent in a casino (and I was in plenty - bloody hell as soon as you walk off the plane into the arrival / departure lounge the gambling is right in front of you!)I'm with you on that one: just never understood the appeal. Wife and I went to Vegas for an anniversary some years back. The only time we gambled was on a slot machine in the airport departure lounge on the way home. Just to say we did it. We lost the princely sum of 1$. I told her; "well that's our daughter's college fund fucked now..." :)I went to Vegas last month. 7 nights and didn't spend one cent in a casino (and I was in plenty - bloody hell as soon as you walk off the plane into the arrival / departure lounge the gambling is right in front of you!)
I simply stood by watching everyone else "having fun" losing all of their money. My friend kept telling me it is free drinks if you keep gambling... but i was happy buying my own and watching them throw it all away.
Didn't feel any urge to spend a cent at all.
Well you're a daftie!! Haha! The trick is to find the slots that are only a couple of cents to play, throw $10 in and sit getting pissed for a few hours on said $10. :-)I went to Vegas last month. 7 nights and didn't spend one cent in a casino (and I was in plenty - bloody hell as soon as you walk off the plane into the arrival / departure lounge the gambling is right in front of you!)
