Talented, yes, but I’m not sure I recognise that player, at least in the premier league. Even when they won at our place in the 100pt season, Atkinson was their best performer.He would be great for us. The players we have & pep would bring the best out of him. This feels similar to how I felt with the Ronaldo transfer. Under the right circumstances (low salary/high incentives), the devil inside me would like to see it just to see the horror at the swamp if we somehow managed to ‘free him’ and he become a star.
The realist though thinks he’s been called Pogbad for a reason, and anyone stupid enough to go to the swamp twice needs to be given a significant wide berth. Also the thought of him dabbing in a blue shirt is horrifying.
