Paul Pogba

Pogba is/was an incredible footballer. Ridiculous technical ability alongside the physicality.

I’m convinced he would’ve been immense for us.

Wrong people round him and poorly advised throughout his career

Another in the not insignificant number of players the rags have fucked up professionally or just coincidence ?

Going to that fucking shambles of a club twice ) - got to make you think .

I posted this pic after he was suggested on the players that might improve us thread yesterday...

He's always had the talent but too lazy and arrogant which is why he never became much more as a player, now he's in his 30s and offers nowt at a real big club bar 30 minute cameo appearances with a view to more, honestly I doubt his ego would ever allow him to accept that role anywhere either which is what he should initially seek.

He still sees himself as this supposedly world class superstar he in my opinion was wrongly labelled to be, he's always been below that level despite trophies with France and overblown adulation on social media, he's never been nothing like Yaya or KDB it's almost blasphemous to suggest otherwise as he could never defend or never wanted to.

Had we signed Pogba around the time we signed KDB instead he'd have flopped big time, because he'd have been too lazy and wouldn't have tracked back defensively.
He'd have been a liability and a scapegoat to his lack of work off the ball, this is before Walker came and our full backs were ageing and slow so teams would've picked us apart.

Pogba is a luxury player who cannot or will not defend and at his very best he'd have been very useful behind the main striker, at juve in his first spell people forget he had that security with Marchisio and Vidal doing all the running and pressing along with wingbacks, while pirlo also stayed deep at all times allowing Pogba to stay forward at all times.

His defensive awareness is almost non existent which is too piss poor for our needs and that's without not playing for 18 months, unless we ever resorted to a system where an attacking midfielder stays forward with no defensive duties, then he's a no no even as a backup and I'm not saying this just because he's a former rag either.

A total myth of a player, was decent on his day but never ever more than that....carried at Juve, and for France by midfielders with much less 'hype and fanfare' but a lot more talent...utd didn't have those players, which is why everyone saw the 'real' Pogba ;)
Had all the skills and physicality to be one of the best. Dreadful mentality though. Balotelli-esque.

For one horrible moment I thought someone was actively suggesting we pick him up.
Not sure where this should be moved to - but doesn't belong in the transfer thread imho
Edit: probably in his thread on the general football forum

Well we have won everything without him so that’s a blessing in disguise. Beside wrong character for this great Club

There were strong rumours we were interested in him both before he rejoined united and when he left again. He had everything to be a truly elite player, pep could have made him into a fightening player, closest thing to a Yaya replica there has been since the man himself but had a raggish attitude both on and off the pitch and ended up with a career to match.
I'd say he'd drive Pep mental.
