I sincerely hope we are not shopping for stop gaps this forthcoming windowThat's why I prefaced it as him learning from this experience and looking to make the most of what he will have left. At 32 though he'd just be a stop gap if anything but we have done it in the past plenty of times.

Never seen him play in a Pep system, so it'd be no guarantee.
Besides, what's the point of comparing how he used to be, with what our situation is now? We can't sign him from 2018 or whatever.

I’m the same, I don’t like the guy but and it’s a massive but ,he did come and Pep got him back the player he was for Juve and France ,with our desperate need this season I’d go with it.Especially as the Rag reaction would be fun.I have a bad feeling about this one and wouldn’t want it he 2025 version of pogba but if he did come then I’d be cheering him on like I would everyone else .
Although I can’t remember a player whose managed to resurrect his career in similar circumstances.

Pogba played just a handful of decent games for the rags under different managers and that's it. He was better for France but not massively. He also seemed to spend a lot of time injured. I didn't rate him when he was at his peak never mind now. It would have to be a pay as you play deal if it happened.

"Peak pogba" and we think we have it rough with city, we have just made absolutely awful decisions in games and have shocking levels of legs/athleticism. That united team was hilariously dysfunctional. Take pogba and drop him in to our midfield and he'd be so much better in a pep team than he would have there. Absolutely nonsense. Gundogan, Bernardo, KDB, Silva and even Foden are all better at CM than Pogba ever was.
Right now? Gundogan and kdb can barely run. Silva doesn't even play with us anymore. Bernardo looks exhausted and foden has been awful all season ( never plays CM anyway ). I think you've misinterpreted what I was saying and replying to.
