Paulinho

He's better than that Fernandinho that everyone's been raving on about. I've only seen him play 4-5 times but he's impressed me throughout, he's played outside of Liga do Brasil too so it's not like he's inexperienced. Eye for goal, as well.

Paulinho has no plans to secure a move away from Corinthians

Paulinho is generating plenty of transfer gossip, but he claims it is his intention to remain at Corinthians for the foreseeable future.

Speculation linking the Brazil international with a move to Europe has intensified ahead of the January transfer window.

Manchester City are among those said to be keen, with Roberto Mancini looking for an injection of creativity at the Etihad Stadium.

A big-money bid may tempt Corinthians, but the player will also need to be convinced that the time is right to leave his homeland.

Paulinho has hinted that he is ready to snub any advances, with the 24-year-old prepared to shrug off rumours regarding his future while he focuses on a bid for Club World Cup glory.

He told UOL: "Winning the Club World Cup title won't change anything regarding my plans for 2013. I intend to stay at Corinthians in 2013.

"When other clubs were interested, I told you. But I can tell you that there are no new offers.

"I won't change my opinion. I decided to stay at Corinthians because I can become a champion here."

Paulinho recently penned a contract extension at Corinthians which will keep him at the Sao Paulo-based club until 2015.

According to the Mirror, his release clause drops to £11million at the end of the month.

But wait for it... Chelsea want him now too apparently and are dispatching scouts to watch him.

Saw Chelsea being linked with him a couple of weeks ago in fairness.

Has anybody watched him enough to form a solid and fair opinion of him? How would he fare in trying to challenge Yaya?

Corinthians fan I know through work reckons he's the best midfielder in Brazil at the moment, compared him to Ramires.
