Robin van Persie may be Manchester City's top target, but they are also closing in on Argentine star Paulo Dybala who is being tracked by AC Milan, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
The 18-year-old Instituto striker scored 17 goals in 38 games in his first season for his club in Cordoba, attracting attention from Palermo.
The Italian club believed they had struck a deal for Dybala in April, leading club president Maurizio Zamparini to claim they had 'signed the new Sergio Aguero'.
The move failed to materialise and now City are preparing a £5million bid the for the Argentina Under 20 international.
Dybala has a Polish grandfather and is understood to have an Italian passport which would remove the need for City to apply for a work permit.

Never seen or heard of him. Suppose you'd have to find other players who have scored so many goals in his league at his age to get an idea of how good he is? No idea myself but wouldn't be surprised if someone like Mathias Vuoso has similar stats! Hopefully only the likes of Ronaldo or Aguero can compare...

4 millions and 78k wages ? :-) would seem too young for that high a wage but then this is football.

According to Mirror Palermo thought they had him in April but the agent they had negotiated with was not mandated to do so one his behalf.

Looks a good kid.

What Argentine youngster wouldnt want to play with Zabs, Tevez and Kun.

Looks a talent but so so many have in S.American leagues. If we sign him then we have done our homework. Being from Argentina will help him as they seem to get on over here :D

I'm glad our scouts are well entrenched in South America now, Argentina is as much a hotbed as Spain for young players. Dybala, Ocampos, and Cirigliano are three top young talents on our radar. These are the kids who teams like Udinese, Palermo, and Benfica find for peanuts and in a few years they're worth £25million! So we need to get in there and grab them while they are cheap. A lot of Argies have European passports too like Dybala does which makes it less complicated.

Iturbe should be the target.

Don't think we'll go for someone who is struggling to hack it in the Portuguese league and could be off to a team who finished one place above relegation in Italy. Sometimes these wonder-kids just don't pan out or take years to reach their potential.

He is still 18 or 19 Years Old, so it is very early to write him off.

The guy has pace, skill & courage and I think he will make it sooner or later.

He looks a real talent but this is a player playing in Primera B, Kun did it in the top division.

Hopefully we can grab him and get Sergio and Carlos showing him a few things or two in training. Looks very promising,
