Paulo Dybala

Doesn’t score enough goals. An ok amount, but not enough to warrant what he’d cost.

Basically anyone but Haaland is second best and a compromise.

If we have plans for Delap or Alvarez and are in for a Kane or Haaland in the summer, I can't see us offering him a long term contract and that's what he'll be looking for. Arsenal should be looking at him, Spurs might be too. Barca will probably want him as well but can they even take him on a free?

He wants more money from Juve. Juve won’t give him the money he is after due to injury issues.
he’s a quality player when he is fit and the games I’ve seen him play for Juve. He’s a level above anything they have, scored a fabulous goal against Roma. On a free contract would be amazing business

he agreed a deal with Juve in October but they have decided they can’t afford it now and want to renegotiate so he’s unhappy and may leave.

In my opinion:
Negatives:
4 straight more or less disappointing seasons
10 injuries in the last 18 months
Inconsistent
(To be fair all of these 3 points affect each other)
His best years are probably past him

Positives:
When in form one of the best players in the world in his role
Would probably suit our team great
Contract expires so on a free

Would be a decent backup alternative to our main targets, and I would indeed prefer him over Felix, mainly because I think paying 60-70M (or more) for a player that hasn't performed well in any of the 3 years he has played outside of Portugal could be an expensive mistake.

I hope these links are Dybala’s agent trying to drum up some interest.

I think if he didn’t have a fancy surname, wasn’t Argentinian, no tattoos and didn’t have his own celebration he wouldn’t be rated anywhere near as highly he is.

Similar to Lautaro Martinez at Inter.. more Tottenham’s level

It kind of fits that this thread was started in 2015, because this is a 2015 signing.

I’d imagine Liverpool will sign him on a free
Its possible, but would be an uncharacteristic signing from them considering his age and wage demands. Most of the noice in Italy is that Inter is looking like the most likely destination.

If you don’t agree with him, he will attack you personally.

Don't take it personally. It’s his MO.

He’ll run out of people to converse with eventually.
I have a theory that Gus is that Ezzy guy from a few years back with a new account. Similiar style. The user even joined around the time Ezzy disappeared.

If I'm right I hope he brings his Ezzy persona back. That guy was pure entertainment.

He was Serie A player of the year in 2020...
Ronaldo was player of the year, but sure, he was in the team of the year and got some "most valuable player" award. Mainly as a result of Juventus winning the league (which he of course played his part in), but 11 goals was considerably fewer than what most fans had hoped for, 17th in the league for one of the leagues best paid forwards. Not saying he has been terrible the last 4 years, just that neither of them have been as good as the expectations were, hence disappointing.

Probably going to Inter anway
But what player even is he? A second striker, at best?
One of them players, same boat as João Félix, who one can never really tell what position on the pitch they're good at or what they're good at

Juve fan site posted this article last night. Apparently the source comes from Argentina it's the same source that said Diaz was going to Liverpool. Juve fans have started panicking online. I'll post the article

"Paulo Dybala’s contract extension remains one of the biggest issues Juventus is facing at the moment.

The Argentinian is a key member of the squad in Turin and should be kept in the group.

However, his fitness has been a problem and Juve is no longer happy to give him whatever he wants to keep him.

This has opened the door for the former Palermo man to join another club at the end of this season.

Todofichajes claims the attacker has reached a pre-contract agreement with Manchester City already.

The English club is one of the teams that can offer him what he is asking for from the Bianconeri.

The report claims Pep Guardiola has personally called Dybala and explained to him the role he would take up in his team.

The Citizens have now agreed to a four-year deal with him worth €10M per season, a figure Juve had refused to reach in negotiations with him."

Could be bullshit, but their reliable apparently
