Thanx4Knives said:hopefully Hopkins dosent make a fool of himself like he did against Joe, with all that play acting, hopefully it will be a good fight! Dunno whether to stay up or watch it in the morning!
thats why i went for a hopkins win on points i cant understand why people keep underestimating himono said:Had a tenner on it with each of my 4 mates. I went for B-Hop. I knew he would stop Pavlik from being effective....like he does to everyone (well almost). Hopkins knows way too much to ever get ko'd by a guy with no lateral movement or variety. I've hardly seen anyone land flush on him in his entire career, so there was no way Pavlik was going to land enough to bother him....unless he got really lucky. I was so happy watching the fight. It was even better than what he did to Tarver 18 months or so ago.

Its just that after his defeat to Calzaghe I thought we were seeing a finished Hopkins. For Hopkins at 43 to take on Pavlik I thought he was off his head and looking for troble. Age slows down fighters and so far this year some are looking like they are fighting 1 fight too many. Look at Sugar Shane Mosley in his last fight against Mayorga he didn't look like the slick Sugar of a year ago he look old in the ring. Yes he won the fight thanks to 2 knock downs in the last 40 seconds of the fight which he needed to win the fight. Now if I was Sugar I would retire after that lucky escape as for B-Hop it is only a matter of time.
