Sadly, black women have been 'whitening' up for a long time by getting white girl hairstyles and colour added to their hair. Red lipstick when they should be using shades of brown.

It also doesn't help that most black men go for white women and makes black women feel 'ugly' and inferior to them.

A black women toning down the colour of her skin to look slighty less black in order to look more physically appealing to the core demographic of white, often wealthy, white women does seem a bit of a sell out thing to do. And a bit of a spit in the face of other black women.

That's true, but only she has to face the fire and justify the appearance of the product. There's no proof, either way, of how it was done, yet.
