If it is less than Pedro would have cost every media outlet in the world will know about it, if it is higher than what Pedro would have cost it will be undisclosed and any suggestion that it cost them more will be ridiculed.

They're still labouring under the delusion that they can sign players cheaper than anyone else and they can pay them less because they are the "world's biggest and best supported club" and the world's best players have grown up supporting them and would walk over red hot coals to play for them. That is why Woodward was in Spain, fucking about trying to haggle Barcelona down and construct a deal with add ons and suchlike. Chelsea just walked in, banged the money down on the table and that was that. That's what believing your own hype does for you.

If true, it doesn't reflect well on the club even if you're a rag. It shows that players, especially top Spanish players, are watching the treatment TT is dishing out and not liking it one bit. One player may not be bigger than the club but you'd have thought they'd have learned what happens when your manager is bigger than the club.

Our source inside Manchester United Football Club has told us that it was a accumulation of things which led to Louis Van Gaal dropping his interest in Barcelona winger Pedro. Firstly, Pedro had demands such as what training regime he would be on and demanded that he wanted to be certain on the amount of time he’d play. The winger strongly demanded that former team mate Victor Valdes should be treated better and allowed to train with the first team (probably to have a friendly face to train with). Pedro also demanded that Goal Keeper David De Gea should return to the starting XI.

Louis Van Gaal being the person he is decided to walk away from the deal as he felt Pedro may upset the dressing room if LVG didn’t grant his demands. As soon as Chelsea found out Van Gaal didn’t want Pedro they decided to bid for him and a deal was done within hours.

The Transfer Bible team have split opinions on this ], with half saying Pedro is such a world class player, why would you turn him down for £21 million? and the other half arguing that no player is bigger than a club, especially Manchester United and Pedro’s demands were too much.
