I don't think I've ever felt so excited and optimistic about the season ahead. I can't wait to see what this guy can do.

Happy new era everyone. I've got a strong feeling that we are going to hit new heights and be covered in glory.

Manuel Pellegrini has more than 25 years of managerial experience during which time he has led clubs in his native Chile, Ecuador and Argentina to six major trophies, including League titles with LDU Quito and Argentinian sides River Plate and San Lorenzo.

His last nine years have been spent in Spain where he has impressed with his management of Villarreal, Real Madrid and most recently Malaga.

A beautiful interview... calm, friendly, pleasant, nothing but good things to say. A refreshing change I have to say.

he is the best available option imo out of all the managers available.

i also think he is better than mancini especially as a man manager
