Pellegrini Interview (merged)

Re: Pellegrini Interview

Much prefer this OS stuff for first impressions rather than watching him being grilled by the rag press.

1 - Brilliant to see his first conversation with John Guidetti.
2 - Like how our past shirts grabbed his attention above all else.
3 - Did seem shell-shocked, hopefully quietly impressed. Does he strike you as a "good-morning" fella?
4 - Quite funny to see that really enthusiastic lad talk about the fan's messages and then Manuel seem overwhelmed by his enthusiasm.
5 - If Khaldoon is the Don of Manchester City, Txiki is the consigliere (seems a heavily respected figure wherever he walks on club ground). Sheikh Mansour is of course the Godfather.
6 - Great watch.

God, I love City.

Re: Pellegrini Interview

It's all very well and good that bloke telling him we've got the best pitch in the country, but he completely failed to mention that we used to have the biggest pitch at Maine Road, as well as the tallest floodlights.

Talk about a missed opportunity.

Re: Pellegrini Interview

His buddy Ruben seems like a mysterious type. Quiet, but always right behind the engineer :) God I am excited!!!!!!!!

Re: Pellegrini Interview

see the video analysis guy light up as soon as he realized that Pelle would make use of his team

"Yay I'm not redundant!"

Re: Pellegrini Interview

he seemed very polite and great attention to detail, but I was more impressed with the 2 players in training.

obviously guidetti is in there to come back from an injury but spoke with confidence on his future and with a mature head about howhe didn't rush into it last season and how hell be back to full fitness with pre season under his belt.

but marcos lopes(as far as I know) has not had a serious injury and was putting more effort than everyone else so he can break into the team, such a model professional from a young player. pellegrini is the perfect man to bring these through aswell(the holistic approach).

Re: Pellegrini Interview

the interaction he had with Guidetti makes me feel good about John's future. I think he'll turn out just fine.

And Pellegrini? Doesn't seem like we could've gotten a better man for the job at this point. I'm quite impressed

Re: Pellegrini Interview

Good watch, seems to have an aura around him, can see him weighing things up and wouldn't be suprised if Txiki gets a list of things he wants changing, haha. When he looked at the book and chucked it back on the table it was funny as hell, wonder what it was?

That wasn't Marcos Lopes training with John. I'm not sure who it was though?

It might be Pozo.

Re: Pellegrini Interview

Very interesting vid showing what goes on behind the scenes. Seemed very calm, taking it all in but obviously his limited English made for some very brief conversations. He has to get used to all those Manc accents around Carrington. Think we could have laid on a bit more of a plush welcome for him at the airport rather than parking the MPV between a couple of skips and a load of pallets at the back of Terminal 3. Oh and surely we can afford a can of WD40 for that squeaky door at Carrington ?

Nice to see him here at last.
