But a couple of times he just looked as if he wanted it all over and done with and to get on with the real work. He was most animated around the training ground I felt. And he was totally bored out of his mind in Hugo Boss store!!

Man after my own heart. Hands up if yer not bored by bloody clothes shops.

-- Tue Jul 02, 2013 7:23 am --

Be interesting to know what MP and his staff were talking about in spanish at the training ground...

"Jeez, if this is Carrington, what's the Etihad Campus gonna be like"!

looked good! maybe he just found it strange that for a lot of the time we film and take pictures every move so the fans can see what goes on? I city the inside city/city tv stuff is amazing and has been a fabulous innovation by the club.
Can't see it. That yesterday was about 1% of what he would have experienced at RM. If anything he may have wondered why that was all that happened, however like I said previously nobody knows him, so he may always be that uber-cool.

yeah possibly pige, he seemed to also like the museum part and seems a real football man interested in past, present and future.
He just looked like he'd found his niche. He's far better than clubs of Malaga's and Villareal's size, no disrespect to them, but obviously RM is another matter altogether. Here he has a huge club with the resources anyone could only wish for, without the intrusion of RM and the intense expectation. He looked absorbed in it all, plotting and thinking about how his own ideas can come to fruition with such facilities. Very giddy about this gentleman.

I like the website videos, but they really need to edit them down a bit.
Agreed. Looks a tad amateurish with the state of the kit kit room et al, but I'm grateful for the behind-the-scenes close-up.
But isnt the point?!

Real behind the scenes and seeing everything as it is in real life and not just seeing a video of him sat in the press room being told things and shown them off air.

I like how they do it tbh, gives you a better sense of what actually is happening inside city.

Agree. Provide a dimension on the club that is well worth seeing. Inside City is one of the best things on the OS.

It's all very well and good that bloke telling him we've got the best pitch in the country, but he completely failed to mention that we used to have the biggest pitch at Maine Road, as well as the tallest floodlights.

Talk about a missed opportunity.
I can't be the only one who thinks this guy is a rag?
You went to the Chelsea semi-final with a rag?

I must be even better at this than I thought.

Should have left the stadium tour to one of the established guides. I'm sure the guy was nervous but he really didn't have much to say beyond the obvious. A tour should be a little more than informing people what room is behind a clearly marked door.

His finest and most enlightening moment was "Pitch will be like a carpet. Best in premier, probably". WTF, something my 10 year old would say, probably.

My first tought was, yeah I have heard something about that before. So I tried to find out from where. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...ch-perfect-manchester-city-groundstaff-859858

Manchester City's groundstaff have won the Premier League Groundsman of the Year award for 2010-11, after being nominated in five of the last nine seasons.

Re: Inside City 78

Can`t believe all the negativity about following "The Boss" on his tour.Would have thought people would have wanted to hear what he had to say about various things on basically his first visit.
Overawed ??? WTF ???
Settle down folks and enjoy the ride.

Re: Inside City 78

Always enjoy watching Inside City, and it was good to see Pellegrini and his team being shown around Carrington and then the Etihad Stadium.............

Re: Pellegrini Interview

People saying he was underwhelmed.. What were you expecting? Cart wheels? For him to declare he is "The Happy One"?

The man is cool, experienced and ready to get to work. Exactly what we should all want from a manager.

The undersoil heating thing! Lol. The lad didn't have a clue... It's actually 12 inches fwiw.

I hope it is 12" - the lad bullshitted that it was 8"-10" and MP said that he wanted to stick something in it that went 10" down. The lad said "yeah that should be fine"!
