I understood the need to wait until after the Spanish season had finished so Pellegrini could see out the campaign with Malaga and then move on, but you'd have thought we'd have been pretty close in the negotiations with his "people" by that point so as to make the appointment not too longer after. It's nearly a fortnight later and still no announcement. It doesn't seem to be hindering us as we've still managed to bring in Fernandinho and Navas, but it would be nice to get this whole thing sorted now and allow the behind the scenes preparations to really kick on.
in other words
"panic"

No, "panic" would be if I'd linked the timescales with the potential for a deal breaking problem. I'm just a bit surprised that it's taken so long. We've clearly been negotiating with Pellegrini for several weeks now, at least since Mancini was sacked, probably prior to that to some degree. I realise these things are complex but still, it's been a fair while now. No panic, mild frustration perhaps.
Dobsy said:Personally I'm not panicked but I find it embarrassing for whoever is in charge of negotiating this at City. The way Mancini went and the way Pellegrini is being hired can hardly be described as professional.
