I tell you what why dont all those who are flapping send your email address to Khaldoon as ask him to keep you up to date as you obviously feel you have some god given right to know whats going on as otherwise you might get your knickers in a twist

It's not about having a "god given right", it's about understanding why something that looks like it's all done and dusted, is taking so long to announce. If he's away on holiday, and he's already signed, done an OS interview, held the club shirt and had pictures taken with it* (presumably) then surely there can't be anything stopping the club from releasing a statement.

Why not let the club deal with this as they see fit Khaldoon said it would be a couple of weeks so just settle down

It is the close season. People need something else to fret about in the absence of being able to lose the plot after a shit performances or when they don't get the opportunity to form a synchronized flap fest before important games.

Hate the bloody close season with an absolute passion, ffs. Missing City already.

Malaga already appointed Schuster as new manager.

They didnt need weeks for it.

Dont think Pellegrini will be official until early July. Hope we still get Cavani without a manager but will be hard.

What we say to his agents?

Agent: Will Pellegrini be manager?

Soriano: Sure. Just technical problem with his contract but done deal.

Agent: Not good enough. We go to Chelsea Mourinho meets us personally. Bye.

You seem to be suggesting that fans don 't really matter. Of course the fans want to be kept informed about their club.

This is a vacuum caused by lack of information, and then the odd post like salfordpaul's above (not a dig at him by the way, if he has heard something then he's free to say so).

People seem to be inventing reasons for the delay, look back through these threads and there are many, the one thing missing is any information. I think we canrule out the following reasons.

Respect to Malaga before their season finishes (2 weeks ago)
Respect to Malaga before they announce his replacement (today).
Gardening leave till July 1st when his contract runs out (they released him from it).
On holiday (why would this reason be holding it up ?)

The chairman said "within two weeks" in the interview which appeared on the club website on May 31st, and this was recorded the previous week in New York. So this "date" runs out in about 3 hours.

Personally I'm not overly fussed about it, as we seem to be going about our other summer business without it affecting us, but I can certainly understand why people are getting frustrated with the delay, it is a very important role that needs to be officially filled.

i'm hearing again there are difficulties with the contract again. hope not, just passing on what i hear
Sound plausible and disappointing if true. But this is a weird scenario

How long have they been in dialogue?
Surely every base has been covered
Pellegrini always been very distanced in the face of MCFC links
I assumed he was being respectful to his current employers but as time goes on and players being signed by Txiki, something doesn't seem right
The silence is deafening

cleavers last post is a top one!, stop being sensitive lovvies b.m's

Pellegrini held a strategy meeting last week with Soriano, Txiki and Marwood it was reported.

The Guardian today said the announcement is a 'formality'.

Yeah, I'll go by that instead of the usual glass half-empty thing (also happening on the transfer forum... Isco isn't coming here either).
