Not the dog, he missed the last and if he missed again there be the suspicion he did so on purpose.

This.
We dare not let him on the pitch let alone take a pen.he will hurt us for certain, I even fear own goals.

i even said to a mate when tevez was in one of his saner times, that i didnt have great faith in tevez taking pens anyway, as hes a bad striker of the ball.

barring that free against stoke wow.

Yeah, Mario for sure. I couldn't even imagine how paralyzingly nervous I'd be taking a penalty, with all eyes on you...he's so unbelievably composed. That's most of it right there.
Agreed. Watching the Spurs penalty, I couldn't even stand up straight, my legs felt like they were made of lead. And I was simply watching. Fuck knows how he has the bottle to be so cool.

-- Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:48 am --

mario, best penalty taker i've ever seen

This

You two are very new to city it would seem, as Elano is without doubt the best penalty taker thats been at city!
Says someone aged 18/19!

Mario.

The penalty against the rags in the league cup was the only decent one Tevez has ever took.

Even some of the ones he's scored have been too close to the keeper for comfort!

Mario is perhaps the best penalty taker in the world at present. it's amazing how he can slow his run to judge the keeper and as soon as the keeper makes the slightest of moves he can adjust in seconds and slot it in the opposite corner. See Friedel vs Villa last year, second time round he just knew he was beaten before the ball was kicked. incredible composure and the only player I've ever watched take a penalty and been completely confident he'll score.

Agree about Mario. The only player to come close to his penalty taking ability is Elano.

Elano lumps it hard into the side netting every time, which means it's unsavable no matter what the keeper does, or what side he goes.

Okay. If we have a penalty-shoot out, name your five in order of taking.

1. Milner
2. Aguero
3. Kolarov
4. Barry
5. Balotelli

That's madness Balo is like having a guaranteed goal, putting him at 5 runs the risk of him not even getting to take one! Also I wouldn't trust Kolarov to take a penalty in a big match as there's every possibility he'll twat it over the bar at 100mph
1. Aguero
2. Milner
3. Balo
4. Nasri
5. Barry
