Haaland, KDB & Grealish all excellent pen takers and not on last night.
Foden was excellent as was Eddy. Alvarez always good.
Means in a game we will always be fine. Pen shootout was bad luck. We go again.
Ermm I have some bad news for you mate.Bring Franny Lee out of retirement.
He never messed about, kept the goal net repairers in business for years,
There is a legend within the training ground that Ederson is the best penalty taker in the team.
After tonight, I've seen enough. Make it happen.
Presumably the reason Eddie took the penalty he did was because at that point we simply couldn’t afford to miss so he had to. I imagine we’d have worked our way through a list but kept him in the back pocket until a pen came along to either win it or keep us in it.
Not for City they didn’t. Neither did Elano.Always? Balotelli and Yaya were mustard, did they miss one between them?
That Mancini side had a number of great penalty takers. Yaya, Balotelli, Barry, Milner, Nasri and the worse one of the lot and he took the most Sergio. Oh and I forgot Tevez took them as well. Not for City they didn’t. Neither did Elano.
The one before that was West Ham in the League Cup in 21/22, so lost three of the last four.Super cup in August v Sevilla ,community shield in August v arsenal
Obviously Eddie ain’t gonna take them during a game cos if he missed or it’s saved then it’s a goal the other way.
He should however be training the rest of the team to take them.
Yeah like you say very slim indeed. Most times a pens missed it ends up either a corner or a dead ball. Plus with all the players behind him it would be easy to just commit a foul well up in their halfI think the chance of Eddie missing and them countering is very slim. We should have enough men back to prevent any shot within decent range before he gets back.
Hit technique under pressure shown he probably should take them. I suppose playing out from the back accurately almost represents the pressure of taking a penalty, which is why he might be so good.
The words ‘typical City’ spring to mind : )I think the chance of Eddie missing and them countering is very slim. We should have enough men back to prevent any shot within decent range before he gets back.

It is still not worth the risk. We still have a reliable penalty taker in Erling Haaland (providing we do get a rare one).I think the chance of Eddie missing and them countering is very slim. We should have enough men back to prevent any shot within decent range before he gets back.
