Last year, before she died, my mother in law was in a care home charging over £1000 a month.

A friends father was placed in a care home due to his violent dementia at the cost of £900+ per week !

No mate I meant work until 70 then they use your personal pension to pay for your care

If you organise a personal pension properly from a young age you can go around 60.
It's just the state pension that is being pushed further back.

You are correct.
I just checked the figures and she had raving dementia and it was £1000 a week!
Of with the state paid £435.

Would probably be good for pensions as market volatility is likely. An actively managed portfolio would be advisable to maximise returns (or minimise losses).

The thieving devious twat wants to run for PM, so isn't going to queer his pitch with a hugely unpopular policy. He'll make sure it's his successors first job.

He is actually on the sly pushing the age you can take private pensions back too. It was announced that it will be age 57 from 2028 from the current 55 but since the announcement it seems to have been overlooked in finance bills so may not come in after all.

We invoked the right to get an interest free loan to cover the costs to be paid from the sale of her house on her death.
