They will if the owner of the hammer maker is some senators sons best mate from uni. Well you see my point, it is ripe to that kind of abuse. I know it happens a lot but that is the real disney land for adults, getting to sign checks for the US defense department, or at least having the ear of those who do.You don’t think they spend $20,000 on a hammer do you??
How the hell is this just allowed to happen, why is nobody pleading for mercy in a court. They literally just make up any old reason they like and it just gets the ok? They could barely make that believable in a film, it would get short shrift as lazy writing.
It really isn't hard to believe some of these senator types have a squad of special forces loyal to them. In return that senator makes sure they get a sweet job where there will be a few quid knocking around with no questions asked/little oversight. Then lets say some journo is going to blab about the senators illegal goings on so he asks these chaps to make a visit to said journo to note it may not be in their best interests to carry on with their current course of action. All the things i thought far fetched in films seem more possible every passing day.
Basically some of the political stuff you see in Bourne does have a real life platform to flourish. CIA projects essentially waved through with a blank check and just as quickly and easily written off with no questions asked or answered. Lockhead Martin's "sweetner" to someone who made sure they got the contract for the latest hi tech killing machine simply getting shrugged off and stuff like that. It seems such sweetners could almost go through official channels as nobody seems to give much of a toss.
I am not railing against it even though it is vulgar, i find it astonishing. Maybe one of the most active large annual cash flows in the world has basically no checks or oversight. I suppose there is no need to care, you are just going to get more money for your department branch the next year anyway. 700 billion dollars a year with the remit of essentially "here you go, buy some cool rockets and make sure we have a bad guy in the middle east, do what you like with the rest".
Being high up in the CIA would be pretty cool, nobody really wants to ask you questions to the point it is seriously obfuscated. You could certainly boost your pension pot with ease. That film War Dogs kind of touches the subject doesn't it? if you have seen it.

RT the opposite side of the same coin as Fox News.I’m not saying theirnis no truth in this story but I will wager the RT version that keeps getting quoted isn’t anywhere near it lol.
The problem is that nobody cares mate. Oodles of taxpayers money is wasted on hell knows what but no one is bothered really.
Like you say it's open to corruption etc, I doubt anyone will be held accountable though.
I have not seen war dogs no, I will have to give that a look over though
