you need to ask yourself if you need the 6th and 7th seats? if you do I'd suggest getting a Galaxy or last of the old model VW Sharon's - proper Full Fat people carriers. I had an 806 and a Citroen C8 - both also Full Fat but made out of tin foil metal or plastic and being French were going to be an unreliable electrical nightmare - so don't go there!

Zafira and C4 Grand Picasso are the best 'non-full-fat' seven seaters IMHO.

I think the SMAX or VW Touran are the best AND best looking of the five seaters - I'd be going for one of them if I was in your shoes if the money was right.

There's 5 of us at the mo, extending to 6 within the coming couple of years hopefully so we do need that extra seat. I've done some boning up on them and the S Max reviews do state the extra seat are more for emergencies or small kids, so it would work to an extent. I just can't believe how cheap those C4 Picasso's are though, and if it wasn't for that fucking horrendous dashboard I think that would be a winner. Those Grand Scenic's though too, liking them now..

Looks like it'll be the C4 Grand Picasso as for the money i'm wanting to spend I seem to be getting a hell of a lot of car compared to the S Max. Thing now is i'm hooked on readers reviews and whilst the majority say the car is quality, there are some negatives too. The same is with the S Max too though, people say it's great but then there are a few bad ones too.
I fucking hate buying cars.

What sort of mileage do you roughly get with a people carrier?

I'm thinking of getting one in the summer, currently getting aprox 34 from a petrol bmw btw.
