...mainly about why Brian Cox needs to go to such out of the way, hard to reach and expensive places all over the world to film his program. What I would say is i'd rather license fee's go towards that than dancing with the stars and 95% of the other stuff I DON'T watch on the BBC! This is exactly where they should be pumping the money in, documentarys and educational stuff!

Well, if the licence fee was about £15 and we weren't forced to pay for complete and utter dross like Eastenders, Casualty and hundreds of other BBC programmes of extremely low quality then perhaps people wouldn't moan about Brian Cox swanning off to exotic locations to make his programme.

Personally was a bit disappointed by it. Watched after hearing a lot of people saying how he wasn't boring and made it more interesting. I prefer the 'boring' programmes more tbh, much more insightful. He seemed to dumb it down a little bit too much and I dont think he needs to visit all these locations like the glaciers in S.America to teach about space!

This.

I was very disappointed too.

Haha. As mentioned by posters before, I don't mind the licence fee contributing to programs of this nature. WotSS was top notch, WotU hasn't been as good, but still better than all the 'reality' tv shows that we have to endure.

I think Brian Cox is quality. He obviously loves what he does. He's a clever chappy too.

Me too, I'm hardly Einstein but I just lost interest half way through cos it was just too simplistic and dumbed down, felt like I was watching a programme aimed at 10 year olds.

I saw it last night and thought it was very good. I'll watch it again.

Oh and the BBC is worth every penny of the licence fee IMO.
