People who leave 8 minutes before the final whistle

I never leave before the end without reason, and I didn't go today in the end, but if I had, I would have had to leave 15 minutes from time, because I had an engagement tonight, that I had to attend. My son also got picked to play for our local non league sides reserves this afternoon so it would have meant a long journey alone, and I've 2 more games this week. In the end I decided to save myself the bother, and stay at home, and I'm glad I did, I'm fed up with MH, never rated him anyway, but he lacks ambition in games anyway. I'll be there Wednesday (and won't get home till 2am), and again on Saturday.

Did we score at the death? No (as usual)
Did we look like scoring at the death? No (As usual)
Was Hughes trying everything to win the game? No (as usual)
Can RSC play foorball? Very doubtfull.

Those who left early had the right fecking idea.

You remember THAT game against Gillingham?

Yep broke my arm falling backwards over the bench with the nailed on plastic seat. Then again at least Joe had already changed the game with his subs at Wemberly - OK we went two down initially, but the game swung dramatically in our direction as a result.

Hughes couldn't change a game in a billion years. Especially if he isn't prepared to subsitute a defender to do so.

No matter how depressing it was, what kind of message did it send to the players walking out at that time?

You may as well pack the result in there and then and it wasn't even like we were 3-0 down like at Spurs or 2-0 down like at Wembley.

Shame on the early leavers.

I am grown up but can I ask... Are you my mother? Father? Boss? Then who are you to tell me what I can or cant do? If I want to leave early I will and I dont have to explain myself to you or anyone.
The club get my £1000 each season and thats before the money on food and drink etc etc. So when are they going to repay my support and encourage me to stay to the death? I got bored and thought fuck it I'm off home to spend time with my son rather than sit another 5mins watching City throw away another game! It's become a joke, the team are a joke, and anyone who thinks we are a top 4 team is daft.
The way it's going we will be lucky to finish in the top 6! Spuds are a far bigger threat than we are at present and come Jan we lose Toure and Ade too. Believe me no big name is coming in Jan to save us so what we going to do? I've had enough of going home and away and watching us just meander (sp) through the games. I wish I hadnt bothered getting Bolton tickets now.
And yes I'm still pissed off about the game today.

So am I. And the previous six for that matter. I also spend huge amounts of money following City and buying our merchandise. It doesn't excuse giving up. Piss poor.

Oh I havent given up I'm just pissed off to the hilt bud. I'll be there on Wednesday then again Saturday and the week after and so on as I have done for the last 25 years (season ticket since the dire straights of the second division)! I have said never again more times than I care to remember but still, like a mug, go every week.
But what I dont like is when I'm told I'm not a real fan because I go a few mins early or I'm not a real fan because I cant be arsed to watch City V's Scunthorpe in the pissing rain on a cold Wednesday night when I have better things to do with my life like see my family or spend some quality time with her in doors! I love City and always will but they are not my life and are not the be all and end all of my world, they will always come second. Although her indoors is third so they are thought of highly by me.

Fair enough pal, but spending an extra 10 minutes on the 2nd love of your life should be manageable. I too have a family and I am not claiming to be a bigger Blue than anyone, but if you're at the game you should make the effort to support the team right to the end, especially if they need it (like today).

pay my money every week and have done for many years ill leave when i want to thank you very much

Thats part of the problem though, no one sings anymore. The atmosphere is crap and it's dire sitting there in a quiet stadium in that situation where your thinking "Fucking hell another 2 points thrown away". Two sections sing.... Wow thats it, you go any other ground and it's better than our's. I used to get goose bumps walking into the ground hearing Blue moon but thats gone as you dont hear a thing now. Yeh those two blocks may think the sound is great but believe me the rest of the stadium doesnt hear it and on the odd time we do, it fizzles out quickly enough. I love the away games as it's a different story, we always sing for 90mins and it's amazing but at home we are poor. I can sit in silence at home in the warmth so why stay there in the cold? They dont need me to motivate them, I need them to motivate me! They get paid to play for my club yet I have to pay to get into the ground, where is the justice in that at present? £100k per week after tax should be more than enough to get them to hold onto a lead for 10mins against the likes of Burnley or Hull today. I mean come on even the Wigan game away we should have won, Liverpool last weekend we should have won. Ok for me the Birmigham game we should have lost but thats it and my patience is running thin.

It is for many of us mate, but Jesus.. it can't be worse than the Pearce era. They might not need you as an individual to motivate them, but every one of you early leavers makes up a desperate looking empty seat. Sometimes you just have to stay. Fuck the atmosphere.
