Pep given 240 million

The smart money over here says that Pep will be after two or three world class defenders, we don't need midfielders or strikers.
They're a bit thin on the ground, any names being mentioned ?

There were three mentioned in the media last week, all Spanish, can't remember any of their names but one or two of them play for Bilbao.

I guess they have everybody available through soon...

And all of this just does not fit Bayern's transfer strategy - and I guess Pep's not either. He might want to add one or two players - but certainly no primadonnas and maybe not any star players.

Bayern already has a great team with a lot of young players that still might need a tweak to develop. Some great talents short before development that are on the way up from the academy.

What Guardiola first did at Barcelona was to get rid of some egoplayers. And he does not know the dressing room and persons in the Bayern team right now.

Bayern have such a good team that "Guardiola was given 240mil" is plain and simple the complete bollocks.

I cannot even imagine many players who he could get for that sum that might be better matching into his strategies than the current Bayern players.

He is somebody that wants a team on the field - not a set of egoplayers. And he built his success in Barcelona on the basis of homegrown players - and that is one reason why he choose Bayern, too. So it is just normal that Alaba, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Badstuber, Kroos and Müller - or at least 4 or 5 of them will play major roles in his plans. It will be interesting how he solves the Kroos-Müller problem - Heynckes right now solves it with Müller playing from the wing but very often playing in the hanging striker position and somebody else taking care of the wing in the meantime. His numbers are fabulous for somebody that does not have the best help and does not work in a ideal position - especially if you think about the age he is in. Does he like players like Gomez or Robben? That is a big question and they could be the loosers...

He will make an addition or two. But actually I do not think of that as one of the really big star players.

Suarez will be going next i think

Suarez does not match into the Bayern philosophy - not with all the stunts he made. Bayern is not the club that takes the "bad" guys.

Bayern might be a club that holds to their players when they are in trouble - like they did with Ribery. They even help out players of the 70s or 80s that are in financial trouble - somehow like a big family - that is the charme of that club. If you were once a player you will always get help. Hoeness, how much he might be an "asshole" sometimes, even let players live at his house after divorces, Deisler with his depressions etc. There is so much stories about the club...

But they usually do not take players that were trouble before they come.

So every rumour about Suarez is just bullshit.
