The manager takes the plaudits (rightly so) when we score 100+ goals and win 100 points.

He takes the flak (rightly so) when we can’t hit a cow’s arse, defend like Keystone cops, won’t play youth and muster up a powder puff challenge in a two-horse league.

When you’re on £15m p.a. and spend hundreds of millions, you’re judged by the most exacting standards. It’s a harsh world out there.

For the first time I am really concerned that Pep may be thinking he can not motivate this squad any further.

I hope i'm wrong.

It's not like he's exhausted all his options.

Where's the motivation in knowing you can fuck up numerous times game after game and knowing you'll still be likely to start next week? Or in being a young player, watching these mistakes happen but only being drip fed minutes or being only trusted in games against lower league teams in non-priority competitions? Or in being told that we're not ready for a certain competition because we don't have a history of doing well in it?

It's all very fucking weird and I think he needs to really shake things up for them to regain confidence rather than sticking with what hasn't been working and just hoping they do.

If our players finished like Liverpools front 3 then we would be winning a 3rd title.

It's that simple. Forget Laporte, forget Kompany, forget Sané or VAR or shit referees.

We create so many chances in big games and we just dont put the ball in the net. And then the team gets desperate and nervous and we concede.

The question then is why? Why do they finish chances when it matters and we dont? If it was 1 or 2 then I would blame the players, but its 6 or 7 and it's been that way for 3 years. And dont try to tell me that Roberto fucking Firmino is a better finisher than Sergio Aguero. It's not luck, or fate or the pitch or the opposition or the ball.

So it's something to do with the manager. I dont know what, but something Pep is doing is making these players go to pieces in the box.

Maybe it's just because he keeps going on about it, maybe it started out as luck and now the players feel cursed or panic when the first one doesnt go in.

Its how liverpool set up and play more of them getting the ball quickly to the front 3 where as we keep passing it that gives the opposition just to sit in with 8 players at least shutting of all angles an options!
