Message to Pep "If its not broke don't fix it" and that's all.
Gundo has never had a good game at DM. We didn’t play our ‘A’ team last night and we didn’t play ‘our’ game last night. It’s ok to attach a portion of blame to pep. He’s got form.Dont agree. Ego go crazy? Settle down mate, he chose Gundogan as DM, a role he has played successfully numerous occasions. Apart from that the other 10 were exactly the team everyone thought should play. Hardy letting his ego go mad and experimenting. I get that folk are sad, I'm gutted we didn't win it but the manager who won the Premier league without a striker, bla bla bla is the same guy that lost last night.
My only criticism of him is he wrongly assumed that playing his A team using the same tactics as deployed in the last two games would be enough to win. He was wrong. Last night was like a rerun of the first two games. Different players, same outcome.
Don’t think the majority would have moaned to be honest. We started playing a false 9 because we don’t have a top class striker(Kun injured mostly and passed his peak). It had been working very well and most were confident that Pep for once wouldn’t dick about with a team that had worked very well in the champs league. Instead he moved 3 big players either out of them or their familiar position to get Sterling on.its funny that nobody complained when pep changed to a strikerless lineup in the quarters and semis. Nobody was calling him a tinkermen then
He had time to study the matchup with chelsea and tried some adjustments, if it works he is a genius, if it doesnt, he's shit. If he sticks to the old tactics and loses people would woman and moan about pep not adjusting. It is what is, back the manager and the team and they will be back in a year or two
maybe rodri or dinho would allow gundogan to make thise late runs from an advanced position in to the box ti score like he has so many times this seaosn. Maybe having foden on the left to attack them and have the ability to put it across quickly with his left foot lie, he has with good effect this season? We didn’t lose because we were exposed, we lost because we couldn’t find a way through their organised defensive wall and score. Would Rodri or Fernandinho changed that , doubtful. What would ?
The whole evening from the team sheet to the final whistle was a litany of errors from Guardiola. It never occurred to me in the lead up to the game to be concerned about the line up,it was probably his easiest decision of the season. That won’t be lost on the players or the powers that be.That what sickens me when I think about it. Legends like Aguero and Fernardihno won’t very likely get another chance ! add to them the likes of Debruyn, Mahrez and Gundogan. So gutted when I think that Chelsea where there for the taking ! They have recently lost to Villa, a tired Leicester and poor Arsenal with the same line-up !
Agree , most of our players didnt get anywhere near their usual form , we can carry a couple of players having a bad day but when eight or nine of them play bobbins we are knackered.Pep has won 26 titles, I think the joint 4th most ever but he should listen to other managers?
Gundogan has had successful extended spells at City since he came from Dortmund where he also played DM.
So Pep is 'egotistical' to select him?
You know what I can understand people being unhappy we lost. We are all unhappy. But to invent a fucking narrative that the best manager we have ever had is egotistical because he picks one world class midfielder over another is just fucking unbelievable.
We were not good enough last night full stop. It happens.

The players should be grateful for what they have, the medals and opportunities ,if they don’t like his selections tough shit what won’t be and isn’t lost on the powers that be is they have the best possible man for the job and they will be doing whatever it takes to keep him as long as they possibly can because they aren’t fools, and they realise how difficult it will be to replace him.The whole evening from the team sheet to the final whistle was a litany of errors from Guardiola.
