Pep Guardiola - 2020/21 Performances

The players seemed to have stopped performing and at the moment he doesn’t have the solution

So you're being held by the worst defence in the league with 15 minutes to go (of course it takes Pep 75 minutes to make a sub) you have Aguero, Mahrez, Bernardo, and Ferran Torres on the bench, who do you bring on ? Aguero and Walker, KYLE FUCKING WALKER, while leaving the other 3 attacking options on the bench, as if a fullback who is useless in attack was going to help us get a goal, and not only that but he brings on Aguero for Foden rather than Rodri who was useless with West Brom not bothering to attack at all, it reminds me of the West Ham game where he brought on Zinchenko for Walker and left Torres on the bench while in the same situation.

I can honestly say that I have never seen a worse manager when it comes to subs than Guardiola.
He’s brought Walker on because he’s bizarrely afraid of West Brom’s counter attack... (I know, West f***ing) Brom). From what we’re seeing so far he’s lost his edge of creativity.

I’m sad it’s going to end like this. I’ll always love Pep. Absolute top man. He gave us some utterly wonderful football.

Mate even Stevie Wonder could see that West Brom couldn't counter at all from the start of the game, if that's why he brought on Walker then not only has he lost his edge of creativity, he has lost his damn mind.

On what basis was he given a contract extension? If he was called Mancini or Pellegrini I do not think he would have even finished the season. 2 back DM in front of WBA. What a shame. I thought he was going to play with 3 in the back when he put Walker in but no, he just replaced the stupid Mandy who looked like a pineapple. What bad football, unattractive and boring. But hey, in the summer he will probably spend another 400 million and then we'll be candidates for the championship.
Ridiculous

His body language is worrying to me. Constantly looks worried and intimidated. It’s not a good look at all

Something is really wrong, and I don't think it's anything to do with tactics and substitutions. I think Lyon was the nail in his coffin and the players lost their trust in him after that.

Last season was no great surprise given the state of our defence. That has now been rectified but there is something different about the players this season. In 17/18 and 18/19 team selections didn't matter a great deal because the players bought in to absolutely everything he was asking them to do. You only had to watch the Amazon documentary to see how they hung on his every word. Do you really think that is still the case?

I'm not a fan of the term "lost the dressing room" but it's not far from the truth. These players are desperate to win the CL during their careers and he messes it up season in season out against teams we should be beating. It must be pissing them off to the point they won't run through brick walls for him anymore.

Compare the body language now to 2 years ago and it is by far the biggest difference for me. He's been brilliant and we'll never forget what he achieved for us but it's time for a change.

The lack of subs is frustrating but once again he is being let down by the players who are on the pitch. Mahrez and Jesus should have scored, end of. Pep can't put the ball in the net for them.
May as well re use this.
Just replace Mahrez and Jesus for Sterling and Gundogan.

Some of posters here are Overreacting. I guess it's because of the result tonight. We have lost quality players in middle and upfront. That's affecting our play. It doesn't help that front liners are struggling to finish. I would give pep time to get it right.
