Today's performance was shit, no getting around it. That we couldn't get 'up for it' after arsenal losing is a genuine concern and of course that starts with Pep. Not sure what is wrong in the camp but I don't like it.

I'm starting to think about life after the big fella. I feel like there's been enough subtle hints been dropped this season to suggest we should start to get used to the idea so I am. All good things and all that.

I get that but I don't remember the last time he said something to deflect. Very Klopp like
I think he laid a marker down for them to react to by saying he doesn’t recognise his team this season and they haven’t reacted like they have in the past so he’ll probably be saying things that have our fanbase hating him by the end of the season instead now.

Also want to put some blame higher up as a result of becoming Net Spend FC.

Replacing player for player, quality for arguably, apart from Haaland, lower quality. Letting a thin squad get almost anorexic.
Apart from CB the depth is gone. Fullback? What fullbacks lol. Midfield? Best 2 are approaching their career run-ins, we've held almost against his will Bernardo(a winger) that's it, that's the depth. Been playing Palmer there ffs. Cdm, Pep clearly not a Phillips fan and rightfully so he's no lone cdm.
Wing is ok(if you count Bernie there) just lacks certain qualities.
Striker 2 is fine as long as both are fit. Else it's an entire system rechange.

Need to pull their fingers out in the summer

He might recognise them more if he played his best team for a change. He’s trying to win the league with our Carabao Cup team. He’s the best manager in the world, arguably the best ever but not even he can turn that back 4 into title winners.

I trust Pep to get it right after the summer window. Not that this season is a write off just yet - still more twists and turns to come. The thing they must address is a lack of dynamism in midfield. Today was a perfect example how a team not as good can get a result just by having a bit more movement and energy. We have become a team reliant on Kev, Mahrez and Haaland having moments of individual excellence. In other words we are not playing as a unit that trust everyone. Looking at the link up of Bellingham and Haaland at Dortmund it will become imperative we pay the money and reunite them - It also will re-invigorate our midfield.

To put it bluntly having a midfield bossed by Hojbjerg is not a great look. I don't think the answer is asking an 18 year old to start every attack. Players also need to take some blame here - you could see what was happening yet some of our experienced guys didn't adjust and try to influence the game, it was like they were robots going through the same motions thinking it will be inevitable we will score - Todays match was summed up by one mistake and not being able to get up a head of steam (as we used to) to blow them away.

The one thing I find mighty strange is at a time when we are desperate for a leader Pep seems reluctant to put Ruben back in the team. I thought Akanji was brought in to cover injuries and not be the main stay of our defence. Maybe reading too much into it and of course he may have an injury issue that is being kept quiet but if he's fit enough to be on the bench he should be starting. He had a big influence on everyone when he came. I hope there is nothing more going on with our Portuguese group.

I guess we must not over react or panic but it is concerning that Spurs won that game by being just average and hunting mistakes.

Well we better not miss out on top 4

he needs to earn the trust of the players again. pretty sure fucking off Cancelo not a popular move with the latinos like Dias, Bernardo, Laporte etc.

while the tinkering with formations and tactics aint good either. instead of playing consistent best 11 we have all kind of crazy first elevens, where all of a sudden Foden, Bernardo, Walker were benched for weeks and lost any form they had before WC.

Lewis is a great talent who can be brought through but not this way thrown into the deep end when players around him so out of form and he needs to play in midfield which is not where he played most of games at EDS level. at points he looks out of his depth which is OK, as he is way too young with no experience at top level.
our tactics and general play went off a cliff. we are easier to play against, more and more teams found ways to restrict us.

long goone the dys when we were angry after a game we didnt win because we had 20 shot, 10 on target and scored none or only 1. we had bunch of those games with Kun, Sterling, Jesus and especially since Kun left and we said oh why we creating dozens of sitters for Jesus, Mahrez, Sterling to fluff it and a top striker would score 3 per game from these chances.

well look at us now, most of the games we dont win is because we hardly create chances, not having on target shots or only 1-2 per game is happening more and more often.

look at the derby, the ref cheated but apart from Grealish goal we had no other on target shot.
look at today, Lloris could have sit the game out still wouldnt have conceded.

teams worked Pep out, and our players form is also suffering due to it. we need invention, different things, different speed, we press lot less, imo Grealish, Mahrez, Haaland aint good pressers, certainly nowhere near as good as Foden, Sterling, Jesus were last year. then we need to be more hard in the midfield winning back possession but Gundo, KDB has no legs for that, Bernardo finally playing like he want to force a move soon.
then we have an error prone defence...

lot of issues around the team...

really hope we can go far in CL, but have a feeling that competition is about punishing mistakes and errors, and maybe even Leipzig will be able to trouble us if we are not careful enough.
and please dont draw Spurs next round in any case.
