His job is to get the best out of the strongest squad in the country and so far this season he’s failing badly.

Oh, so then any manager who doesn't win doesn't know what he's doing. Oh but wait, Pep is the manager with the highest % of victories of all time, and the 3rd with highest amount of trophies.
So by your own definition, Pep is the most knowledgeable manager of all time. Logic is not your strong suit my friend.
You even said so yourself to another poster that he shouldn't have changed what was working fine, my opinion is that he doesn't know what he's doing right now the same as your opinion to another poster was that Laporte was shit at defending, does that mean I should go on about him being a premier league defender & us being lucky that your not our defender and blah blah? It is what it is he got stuff wrong again today as he has done a lot recently.

But that doesn’t mean you (Pep) can‘t bring 2 defenders on, go 5 across the back, and see the last 10 minutes + added time of the game out with defending and keeping the ball. But for some reason Pep doesn’t want to do that. Why?
Yeah that’s pep been like that since he been here and it’s gone well.

Pep has had some odd games but today wasn’t one of them. It was complete domination from start to finish. It’s not on Pep if the players miss chance after chance. We should have been 5 or 6 up and people would have been on here calling it one of our best performances of the season. We were excellent today, let down not by Pep, but some of the worst finishing you’re ever likely to see.

YOur opinion is that we drew, so that's why he doesn't know what he's doing. By your own logic, that means he is the best ever, because he is the manager that wins the most. Stuff wrong again? This was our best match of the season. You can discuss individual plays by players to say if it was a bad decision or not, but with managers you have to watch the entire game and set up. You can say, he probably should have subbed before. That's one thing, and another is saying: he doesn't have a clue at what he is doing. Can't you really see the difference?
And by the way, my exact quote with Laporte is: he is a defender who doesn't like to defend which is true. Compare him to Dias or Walker, they love physicallity and defending. Laporte is the opposite. At least I use your exact quotes.
The main problem is, that due to reason that we don't have False9 any more to help the midfield area, Pep had to change the tactics and that's how LB / Cancelo position got killed..
Bernardo had to be moved even deeper and etc.
This means that we have more weakness in the defending areas, than during the previous number of seasons..
This has to be balanced either by moving back to False9 system, which is impossible due to Haaland, or have more energetic and workaholic midfield players, who can cover the zones and like "die on the pitch" for every fucking inch or centimeter.
Unfortunately Gundo is 33 and KDB 32, they can't do that.. Which means that Either we score a lot or we we will have such problems in every game..
What Pep could have done today, was to remove Gundo or KDB after 60 minutes and play Phillips to cover the zones, but he didn't and Forrest used that, which resulted us the goals..
In overall that's the only way with Haaaland, but to have Haaland - we need young and energetic midfielders, Gundo and KDB together, isn't gonna work
