Felt like he got emotional after speaking about zin, gab and sterling and I did to. 3 great guys and a shame some left when there was still so much to contribute. Really gutted about zin because he did offer something at LB which we won’t be able to replace. Loved gabby as well, always left everything on the pitch. Pretty sure he will do amazing at Arsenal.

I hate that this narrative exists of our players being robots who don't play with any personality.

The idea of a tactical style that is so rooted in an 11 man team ideology is so foreign to this country and its so frustrating. Its football on a level that this country fails to understand.

There is a reason we are the only team in the country who is teaching a uniform style right from the first team through to the children.

It's all simple fundamentals of football.

Pass. Move. Run. Win the ball back. Score.

Not exactly rocket science. Simple tactics but executed to the absolute maximum.
 
Pep will have his work cut out again this season.

1. Where to play grealish (rearrange the midfield?)
2. Fit Alvarez into the wide role. He has too much energy just to be sitting in the bench.
3. Incorporate haaland into the team. Haaland has to learn link up play.
4. Find a solution to LB. Last season when cancelo was bad we played zinchenko. What do we do this season

The obvious issue now is lacking the right foot on the right side. We absolutely need a LB for one. We will have some painful games with both mahrez and grealish playing because they keep cutting in and that won’t be great for haaland. Need early balls in.

Might have to change the formation into a 4 2 3 1 to give Haaland more space.
 
He has a bit of thinking/tinkering to do.....got it wrong yesterday.

Cancelo and Mahrez looked like liabilities and an Ake/Dias partnership isnt the best.Im still not convinced by the midfield trio either,i think Gundo needs to be in there.
Its gonna take a bit more time than i thought to get the best out of Haaland,but that will come.
 
As much as Pep must've enjoyed the total football we played over the last two years, he must be absolutely buzzing to have an absolute killer in front of goal.
 
Throwback to his first season with both fullbacks tucking in for the full game. Great to see it.
