I would have preferred O'Reilly at LB too.

I would have also preferred if the club got another DM in the summer as players can take 2 years to come back from an ACL tear.

Not at the stage of the game and with the score line it was no but that’s what Bernardo’s role should be now? He should not be starting in big premier league games! He’s been an amazing signing and perfect for 20 minutes if we need to see games out but not as a starter anymore

No denying Bernardo's best years are behind him, but with injuries to Rodri, Gonzalez ( not 100 per cent fit) and Kovacic only just coming back from a long term injury his midfield options were limited.

I know he’s my guy but Nico Gonzalez in 6-12 months time will be world class mate. I’m sure the club were confident Rodri wouldn’t get so many niggles etc as he has.

Reijnders can sit slightly more as well and Marmoush can play the 8 and pushing forward role imo if required. We have to change things from the old guard .

Pep was saying he had a dangerous injury that could lead to a long term injury, plus he's lost a lot of weight whilst out. So I think they're managing his minutes to get him back to full fitness.

I agree but he needs help and someone to rotate with as he's still inexperienced and learning.

It's quite common for those with ACL injuries to then pick up other injuries, but perhaps they were hoping it not to the case this time as he's bounced back quickly from injuries before.

Not quite sure what your seeing , nowhere near World Class and never likely to be - he’s slow , indecisive , all round average , sure he can improve but if Rodri regains fitness he won’t be playing much at all .

Let's see if this (potential) World class player ever makes the Spanish squad then, if so, well maybe you will be correct, don't think so. He was a Barca cast off sold for what 8 mill!

He didn’t say there was nowt wrong with yesterday, the point was that the thread is always quiet when we play well and win. Very few come on here and analyse the good tactics that allowed us to play well and win.

Marmoush has never played as an 8 in his career. He’s only ever played attacking midfield 4 times in his 245 games, never mind central midfield. He’s a forward: striker/centre forward, left forward, right forward or second striker.

I dont rate him highly either, but he's the best DM we've got (exc Rodri).

Considering he litetally referenced days ago about our lack of physicality there last season - to start Bobb, Savinho, Bernardo, Stones and Foden was a complete head scratcher.
