Surprising considering how he’s been speaking to the media lately
"The same people have been wrong over and over again but I think they're right this time because they just beat Liverpool."Such a nonsense article. Here's the crux of it:
"They believe that it would be a logical time to leave because the squad is settled, Guardiola has won everything there is to win and ten years is one heck of a shift, particularly for a man whose longest spell with one team before arriving in the UK amounted to four years with Barcelona’s first team."
1. The squad isn't settled, it's quite literally at the beginning of a transition with loads of new, young players.
2. He'd already won everything there was to win in 2023 and didn't leave.
3. Ten years is a lot. So is 11 years. So was 8 years! Meaningless drivel.
Hirst even admits this:
"The same people have predicted Guardiola’s exit in the past though, only to see him extend his deal. It is an unpredictable game, anticipating his next move."
So what's the point? Absolutely pointless wishcasting from people desperate to see Pep off. They can see what he's building again.
Agreed, I can see him staying for the rest of the decade. If we win the Treble again, Pep *might* decide to leave. But I doubt it.
Where would he go after that? Milan? Juventus? Can't see it.
He's building a great squad here that is likely to improve in the next few years and challenge for everything.
Would hardly call a team averaging 2 points a game with 2 away league wins to its name a “winning machine”.He’s done it again hasn’t he? Built us another winning machine.

That's because he's only just finished building it. whilst there were signs over the last six months, it's only the Brentford game with the new system where it clicked. We have 3 wins out out 3 since then.Would hardly call a team averaging 2 points a game with 2 away league wins to its name a “winning machine”.

You're right, my mistake. You mean Bournemouth. Villa was after Brentford.

Don’t know when he’ll leave, but where he’d go isn’t any bearing on it, because he’s already said he won’t go anywhere. He’ll go when he feels he wants a break from it all.If we win the Treble again, Pep *might* decide to leave. But I doubt it.
