Obviously a different time and the PL has greater strength in depth now but I think we should give the greatest coach of all time a bit longer. Might seem a novel idea to some

Funnily enough, one of the big reasons they struggled back in the early-mid-00s was their awful recruitment around that time and certain players reaching the 30+ mark and no longer in their prime like Keane, Giggs and Schmeichel.

They sold Beckham and Stam.

Some of the dross they bought was Taibi, Barthez, Carroll, Forlan, Veron, Tim Howard, Djemba Djemba, Kleberson, Heinze, Bellion, Pique, Rossi.

Exact same thing has happened to us.

Even more strange was they were quite reliant on Van Nistelrooy to get them goals, which we are with Haaland.

It’s the long balls working a treat against us that concerns me. That’s how Leeds created panic today and it worked. Such a simple tactic that shouldn’t cause agitation in the whole side so easily.
