Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

He's got three big games coming up next week he's our only non injured central midfielder who can defend. He needs rest. You should be able to see put a three goal lead with half an hour left.

The fault was not with the substitution it was with the players
In fairness, they did see it out...

Barely :)

Wouldn't mind Pep dipping into wingbacks system in games occasionally. Today in the second half we weren't pressing well, couldn't build and defended badly. Just adapt, ping in another CB, get the midfielders in tight, drop the press and use the wingbacks as runners.

Stones at DM was a revelation...and not a good one. Why bring on Savinho? How can Marmoush not be a better option? Hell, I'd rather see Rico Lewis or Ait Nouri out wide than Savinho.

The main problem is this team don't have the ball. If you have the ball when 1-5, you kill the game through possession.
Problem with having the ball is all the halfwits on here start saying that we're boring and the football is boring. Get back to keeping the ball better and fuck the opinion that it's boring.

What’s going through his mind is probably that Nico already looks knackered and overplayed and this is our first of 6 games in 18 days.

Nico had to come off and IIRC were 5-1 up when stones started warming up.
Problem is wgat the fuck is happening with Rodri . We gave a major decision. To make about Rodri in the summer .

I get Nico needed a rest, but straight swapping him for Stones didn't make sense. Stones could've come on for Reijnders to move Gvardiol to left back and push O'Reilly into the midfield. The Cherki sub wound up working well though as he helped us slow our possession down and hold onto the ball a little longer.
Funny thing is we have a £40 million left back on the bench.

I think a lot of Blues are forgetting that we won a tricky away game, alright it nearly went tits up, but we won all the same.
Great we got the result but we will get punished soon for playing like this. Real Madrid have been awful but they are going to destroy us if Pep continues to play his ineffective favourites.

42% of the ball last night. Against Fulham. With just about our strongest team, minus Rodri.
It‘s mad that we‘ve chosen to go this way, and effectively given up on what made us one of the best teams in the world for so long.

unfortunately we don't have the team that was so effective at that presently, though I believe we will once the new players fully settle in.

yesterday. as with other games this season shown when we press high and fast we overrun teams when we sit and try to hold possesion, we tend to lose it or get bullied off it, it isn't that it's boring, it is that we are not doing it well

I don’t think it’s that. I think a lot of blues simply remember the beginning of last season, when we were playing shite but winning games and sat top of the league. It wasn’t sustainable then, it’s unlikely to be sustainable now.

The best teams win, when not at their best but they don’t capitulate like we have done. We have nearly thrown away a 2-goal lead at home to a shite Leeds side and then nearly thrown away a 4-goal lead to an average Fulham side. That’s not normal.

Don't think the opinion on here makes much of a difference to our ability to keep possession, effectively build-up or win the ball back. As much as we have leant into ceding a bit of possession to counter, last night & Leeds wasn't entirely about that. Pretty sure if we could have kept possession, we would have - as shown towards the end in those bits where Bernardo & Cherki kept the ball.
