Pep Guardiola V Barcelona

The thing is pep as good as made the barca game so we will probably be a similar imitation of them but with lesser players,so the odds are stacked against us.

But pep will still try to work out a plan (like most managers) and although even with that plan we will be the underdogs we will still have a chance of winning. Ey listen. We won't be sent out there like we were under the corpse like labs to the slaughter, whoever we play now with our players and pep we will give it a go. People need to get out of the habit we had under the corose,which was basically accepting defeat by any half decent team and only expecting to beat lesser teams thanks to far superior players. Strap yorselves in. Even the corpse s raped two wins against gladbach, nevermind celtic who are far lesser. We can beat them now with a proper team and then have a rack at barca.

Dont let the corpse suffocate us this season. The lifeless **** has been cut adrift. The time has come to be optimistic

This article does not resonate with me. Firstly i am not downbeat about the draw at all, i like the groups, you have to beat them at some point anyway if you want to lift the trophy right? I accept their will be sucking through clenched teeth a bit but more than anything i am relishing the Barca match. It is not a terrible article, just a glass half empty pov from a non city fan. This year more so since we already look so much stronger as a unit. They have a sickening attack but we are not shy of a goal either, can't wait tbh.
 
Barca is one of the best team in the world.
City owner look at them as a mentor and inspiration.
that was the reason why Soriano, Txiki and Guardiola is here.
Barca is clear favorite to win the group, and we are expecting to be 2nd.
any good result against them, is a bonus.
i look forward to watch this interesting match against them.
2 technical teams playing with tactics and flair.
 
I'm excited for this tie to be honest. And I'm convinced that if we were to lose to Barca, it's definitely not because Pep got out-coached. It will be because they have Messi, Neymar, and Suarez while we don't.

Happy for Pep to come home, should be the beneficiary of a great reception. I expect high quality football which should make great viewing for all.

Ffs son let it go. He's gone. Times are good. He's not a **** or a corps. He's a bloke with dignity and class. Some city 'fans' should practice that by the sounds of it and stop sounding like chavs. He was a stop gap and knew it - and we won 3 trophies ffs. He's gone - and we have the best manager in the world. Stop obsessing and abusing a bloke you know nothing about.

Get what you're saying mate, but the format of the competition means we inevitably have to play the big boys at some point; The trick is playing them as little as possible. No-one ever remembers a teams easy or hard run to the final, they just remember who won it. Having a really tough group damages our domestic ambitions as well as our European ones, because we don't get any 'gimmes' that past big successful clubs have relied on to manage trophy clean sweeps.

Even if we still got paired with Barcelona, which was always a possibility being in pot 2, 2 easy pot 3 and 4 teams is 4 games we can potentially rest the likes of Aguero and Fernandinho for. Same logic as getting a run of hard teams in domestic draws but worse, because even if we beat Barcelona it doesn't mean we won't meet them again later.
 
Too many 'City' fans adopt the names that rags and others use the slur words about about our club and its players and managers.

Similarly lots of 'City' fans on here use the nicknames even pet-names that the rags and their tame media use.

I could never call that twat of a manager 'Mou' or players 'Roo' or 'Ibra' for fear that people might think I was a rag.

I would never do or say anything that was remotely like what rags say.

Well said, sir! Even those who did not like this Charming Man should respect him for the dignity he showed. The transition could easily of become a damaging mess for the club, but - in a large part to him - we have emerged on a sound footing with exciting times ahead.
Haters, please, let it go.

You mean like when our players downed tools after pellegrini chose to announce he was leaving at the end of the season Which he said he did because it wasn't fair to louis van gaal and arsene wenger because the speculation about Pep potentially taking their jobs might hurt their feelings! Couldn't make it up. Meanwhile he did fuck all to address the slump and we had to put up with more lifeless and worthless performances from a team he couldn't be arsed to manage. You might take it up the arse from someone for two years then preach about how charming they are, but that isn't for me

The reason I brought the corpse up was because people still seem to be so negative because we were so poor last season against any half decent team. We've got a manager now, one that breathes and stuff. Ok we didn't want Barcelona but you never know, and I've no idea why people are so arsed about monchengladbach and celtic (with all due respect).
