I find it very hard to believe that Guardiola would ever go and work for Roman. They're just not suited to each other. The same problems that existed with Mourinho would exist. Roman meddles in team affairs, chooses transfer targets, etc. There is so much politicking and jockeying for positions of power at Chelsea it's unreal.

With each passing day I get the impression that he's going to wind up at Arsenal with Wenger moving upstairs.

Bit left field but a bloody good shout.

There's the small matter of money though. L'Arse won't pay him enough I suspect. And I agree with Billy about him not wanting to work for Roman.

Which leaves United - possibly, if SAF chooses to hang up his boots. And us. I think he will end up at our place whether we like it or not.

In our owner's eyes we have given Mancini 2 stints at the CL and he's not impressed at either of them. He won't be getting a 3rd stint. I think only our beating Real and Dortmund and miraculously qualifying can save him. And I think he will get the chop mid season, because I don't think our owners fancy the bad publicity of getting rid of him if he wins the league for us again.

But heck, it's only my opinion.
Dont take this personal. But that was a load of crap. Is this your opinion (as you state) or do you actually read minds. in this case our owners?

sorry if i sound harsh.

It's not just about him, he's not the only person involved in the Champions League games, there's a team full of players that go out on the pitch as well. But 10 points in our very first season in the CL was impressive. Then this season we're the third best team and will probably finish third. I do think he and the team have underperformed when we've faced lesser opposition in the EL but in the CL I don't think we've done a great deal wrong. We've made odd mistakes, we've played poorly a few times but really only Napoli at home and Ajax at home were games we really should have done better in.

Well we'll see won't we. Bookmarked for later in the season.

You do realise that Wenger is the second highest paid manager in the prem?

They could easily afford to pay Pep. I for one would not be surprised if he goes there, he would walk into a team that plays his kind of football and has players similar to the ones he has left at Barca albeit on a lower level.

For example at Barca;
Sanchez and Tello.....Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain

Xavi and Iniesta.....Arteta and Cazorla

Chelsea have had some great short term success over the years but for god sake can’t they just keep a manager and give him time to build a legacy?? They was sacking managers for fun in an attempt to win the champions league, if They would of just kept Jose instead of sacking him then They would have had that trophy more than once for sure….. They will never have long term success unless They give a manger time and don’t panic if They don’t win anything one year… I can see them sacking him and bringing Pep, that is just what Chelsea do

When shit hits the fan you back your manager and work together to make it better, They just sack the manager and bring the next one in what will never give you long term success… Pep would do well at Arsenal IMO where the expectations aren’t that hi

Who?

he caviated his post clearly with 'it's only my opinion'. You didn't.

Therefore you don't sound harsh, you sound like an abusive, closed-minded moron who is trying to shout down someone who is far more articulate and reasonable than you.

Only my opinion of course, but definitely given significant weight by the fact that I clocked you earlier saying 'close this thread down'.

Calling someone a moron, for that post! Very strange.

He's my Dad ;-)

Only kidding. But hey no big deal lads it's all banter on here isn't it. I give out much worse from time to time.

I'd far rather we had spirited debate than political correctness.

And no, I had no idea Wenger was so well paid. No wonder they never have much to spend on players!

It would be strange if hes not more articulate than im, English is my third language afterall. opinion or no, in his previous sentence he didnt, or did he? if so not in very articulate way

Reason i wanted to insure he didnt toke it the wrong way, was because im Bipolar and right now in mixed state, so cant risk ending up in an argument no matter how small. of course, when you are around, thats just not possible. Have a nice day

Mate, if you can't risk getting into arguments, you sure have a funny way of going about it. Anyway, I am thick skinned so no harm done.

Talk of sacking him mid season so the owners don't look bad if he goes and wins the league again just sounds ridiculous to me,would be a huge mistake to get rid of him this season.

No offence to you mate. I felt your response to him to be aggressive after he had made a post which was just an opinion.

So what you're saying is, in your opinion, you feel the owners are going to wait until later on in the season, and if Mancini is looking good for a second consecutive title then they're going to give him the chop so we don't win the league and they won't look bad?
