Pep Ljinders appointed as assistant coach | James French joins as set-piece coach (p15)

And his bad day for football comment after the CAS case? You could argue context and what he actually meant, but he's an intelligent guy and knew what he was saying.

Yet Pep still stopped from verbally eviscerating the big mouthed fucker because he took the non existent high ground, it's been a problem City and their employees have had since this shit started.

Bingo was head of the cult which in turn drove clicks on the media and someone should have had him on toast for saying that imho.

He's right on par with bacon face for me. Absolutely detest the bloke. I even hated him at Dortmund. Everything about him is fake and snidey.

He's poisonous. I hated those seasons we were down to the wire with them lot and it was purely down to Klopp. He riled up their fans and he knew exactly what he was doing.

Every top class manager will use all the tools in their box to achieve the ultimate goal.
Some you will like, some you wont.
If its your club you will be happy, conversely you will detest it.
Pep has certainly not been shy over the years.

Interesting to read that Pep spoke to Klopp before offering the job to the other Peo, and that despite the rivalry between them Guardiola and Klopp clearly have a huge amount of respect for each other. Both are decent human beings and I actually find it quite hard to dislike Klopp, the big toothed adopted Scouse ****

Fucking hell, couldn't think of a bloke more easy to hate. He's an absolute ****. The amount of shite he has spouted about City over the years is disgraceful. He was the perfect man for the cult, chatted shite which they lapped up. He incited so much of the violence against us, he told their fans to turn up without tickets to the CL final - and look what happened.

Shows the measure of the man that despite slagging us and our model off repeatedly he then went and got a top job with Red Bull.

Fuck the ****. Good manager, nothing more. Once he said he would throw a party for all the liverpool players and staff if city had titles stripped and Liverpool awarded them it turned from a dislike to a baconface hatred. That much so I now can’t stand any of the red bull teams because of him.

I’m on about Klopp btw kind of off topic regarding the thread lol

This might be why we brought Ljinders in. Klopps teams were fast and intense. Ljinders was a big reason for that. Pep might want more intensity.

Glasner the Palace boss said this last season

Bring the intensity

"We knew we can play a higher intensity [than City], all the data showed this," said Glasner afterwards. "We knew when we get into the transitions we'd get in behind. When we get them running maybe they'd struggle a bit.

"City have so much possession in every game but they are lowest in high intensity and sprinting distances and we are fifth or sixth in the league.

"Also, the games they lost this season, they lost to very high intense teams: Bournemouth, Tottenham and Brighton [and Liverpool].

"We were talking about it - it's a strength of ours, our intensity, the runs we can make in behind with our wing-backs, our strikers and we thought this could help us to win because beating City with possession is not so easy. I don't know many teams who can do this, so you have to find different things.

Not having to worry about playing to the rules helps too.

Agreed. One Premier league title in all his years there is unbelievable
And three domestic cups, the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and three we'd have won the PL if City weren't so good trophies. - All on a tiny budget plus the never ending Coutinho money.
He ain't Pep, and he can be a bit of an arse, but he's not a bad manager.

Oh and people linking him to Klopp and just presuming his football is Klopp's are lazy. He predated Klopp at Liverpool. His football barely resembled it at Salzburg.

His football is like De Zerbi
It makes sense, Pep had been saying publicly for a few seasons that De Zerbi's style is the new big thing and will replace both Tiki-Taka and Gegenpressing.

It has elements of both, and you'd think the personnel we've brought in will be familiar with both and have a bit of both in their lockers. All three of our new coaches have worked with Klopp, but all three of our new coaches worked with Rodgers first.

The tiny budget that broke the record for a keeper, defender.

If he didn't have Salah they'd have won fuck all, let's be honest
