Totally disagree , he's totally one dimensional under Pellegrini , isolated on the left had side of the pitch, when you saw him under Rodgers he was playing more of rotating roll across the front three positions , he tore us a new arsehole in that 3-2 game at Anfield.

He will 100% become a better player under Pep as will the whole squad, he's made Costa the player he is today .

It's a little bit different from what Celina said Pellegrini told them at half-time against Leicester. Do you ever get the feeling the players are in for a bit of a shock to the system?
 
He got it wrong tonight, but he wasn't too stubborn to change things and won the game. That's been the biggest gripe with Pellegrini over these 3 years.

He didn't get it wrong, the players let him down. The team he picked should have been more than capable of winning that game against a weakened Juventus. Benatia cost them 2 goals, so Pep hooked him.

Then his 2 attacking formations won Baern the game.

Yup totally agree. It's the missing ingrediant in City. It almost feels like Pellers ignores the man management side and just relies on tactics and style. Leicester for eg do the opposite and are winning, whilst all the other teams try tippy tap slow build up.

Having said that we do produce a lot of shots per game, just not the winning passion to stop the opposition.

They will be 100%. He will step on toes. You either trust in him and go with him or you're out. It's the way Mancini was but I think they felt he was undermining their authority by moaning about failure to sign certain players, which after their considerable backing was fair enough.

Pellegrini looks like he's got the squad all happy and full of belief (from all the "we'll fight til the end" talk posted all over the website prior to each game). But this is then not backed up on the pitch. I don't want to slate Pellegrini's reign because I do think our general transfer policy has been poor and I'm not sure that's particulalry down to him.

I still retain the view that it's time for a change in general, it probably was last year. Pellegrini could have done a better job with a fresh squad but there are too many names in our squad that need shifting. It's just the natural expiration of what has been at times a brilliant side, but unfortunately has probably failed to quite cement itself in history because it didn't get that third league title that would have really stated our dominance.

Pep will make it clear who he wants and make sure they're up for it. We're in for one hell of a team in my opinion. We wont win every game and we will have poor performances but he'll teach the players so they don't make the same mistakes. There aren't many sides in the world that could overturn a 2-0 deficit against an Italian team, of Juve's stature as well, with such quality. The team trusted him, they did what he wanted and they won the game and remain non-debollocked (it is a word).
