I can't ever see Pep being sacked by the current board. I can see him being totally exhausted and needing a break followed by a new challenge. My gut tells me he will be here for 2 more seasons

Trying to find out if it's 2. I was told 1 more year had been agreed yesterday, but maybe there's an option of an extra year for City.

EDIT:

It's a 1 + 1 deal. City have a unilateral option to make it 2 if they want. Guess it will depend on if Pep wants to stay beyond next season but at least it's there. Much better than 1 year IMO.

So. As someone who remained unsure if he even wanted Pep to continue, and certainly someone who felt a 1 year extension would be poor from the club's POV, I think this outcome is fantastic. 2 years is absolutely a cushion that will stop the noise so we can focus on football, which was my biggest gripe.

I also believe that Pep signing up means Pep is motivated to carry on, which is key.

I'll go back to being a fanboy now. :)
