Pep starts anew

Watch this interview with ESPN. PEP is energised, looking forward. He looks refreshed, fit, relaxed. This is part of his secret. He can just take a deep breath and start again. A remarkable man.

Good interview, I enjoyed listening to both Pep and Garcia. No edge or agenda in the questions, nice witty chat. Listen and learn British red shirt media

Just watched it you're right he looks to refreshed and energised to go again which is good to see.

Pep has has a tough season and stressful time since his marriage break up. Having gone through a mentally painful split(and divorce) myself I really felt the pain etched on his face his body language couldn't hide. I thought it was perhaps in his best interests to walk away from City and have a well earned rest and try and rekindle his marriage, although I didn't want him to for my selfish football reasons.
I just hope he can find and keep the right balance between his work and personal life to keep him wanting more for City.

And when he leaves he'll take a well earned rest before taking up another managerial challenge, most probably. When asked the question about being Spain manager he wouldn't be drawn on it dodging the question. Although I'm British I'm English as I was born here, and although Pep is Spanish he's Catalan by birth and wouldn't manage Spain due to his staunch allegiance to Catalonia. I very much doubt Spain FA would approach him anyway.

He's been a winner wherever he's managed and he'll hopefully be a winner again at City. He clearly loves it here and I'm really looking forward to next season and seeing Pep punch the air when we score. Good to see Pep has pep and vigour and his mojo back.

I just need Pep to be brave again and trust our attacking style than the sideways shite?
Agreed but one of our main problem is our wingers connection with Haaland. Fix that and things will improve but I fear Doku will continue to be erratic and we'll struggle.

ESPN is pro-Barca so naturally they'll like us too. I've been following them for few years now, much better than other platforms.

I think one of the problems with our wingers’ connection with Haaland is the lack of balls that come in from the midfield channels and even deeper full back positions.

Haaland currently gets so little service, he’s wasting 90% of his energy every game. Instead, we should be getting the ball into him, or thereabouts, from every angle (winger, midfielder, full back) so as not to allow the defence any peace, or time to get into their low block.

From there, if we lose it, it’s high pressure until the opposition breaks the lines and then all hands on deck at the back!

With Haaland and Marmoush, we have two strikers who can score from anywhere. In Cherki & Reijnders, we could have two AMs who can supply killer balls and also score from outside the box, and in Nunes (for now) and Ait-Nouri, we have two full backs who can cross a ball and make up the ground to get in on the backside. Nowhere in there did I even mention wingers who could add to the attacking threat!
