Pep to leave at the end of the season

I think Iraola deserves a chance at a bigger club. Wouldnt be agaisnt giving him shot here.

Ideally
1.Klopp (yes im serious) dont have to like the guy, hes a top manager
2. Enrique
Anyone after that is huge gamble
Fabregas, Iraola, Xavi ,De Zerbi, Maresca, Amorim ,Vinny
Leave the managers who jump from the Brentford’s and Bournemouth’s of this world to Spurs, Everton and the like. That isn’t me being a football snob, it’s me saying you don’t be a top club winning the big pots under a manager like Pep, then take a chance on a manager from those type of clubs. There is a middle ground for them to prove themselves before they get a shot at a top club.

I'm sure there's a slight possibility that Lijnders takes over.

Big IF, but... If the club and Pep are using his extra year on his contract to distract from it happening sooner, and the plan is to get VK when his contract allows, then possibly the plan for a stopgap would be to let Lijnders step up. Possibly that's been the plan and this year is just to get him embedded.

In a couple of months time Vinny will have won as many league titles in his short managerial career as Klopp won in the best part of two decades.

I hate the guy, but it would be funny if Klopp said he'd do a year here. The meltdown would be brilliant

Not sure I'd put Vinny in that lower bracket - he's smashing it at Bayern and you could see from his style of football at Burnley that it's pretty much straight out of the Pep playbook

I'd probably have him behind Enrique and Klopp but ahead of the others

I hesitate to ask - would you place Aberdeen above or below Bournemouth and Brentford? :-/

If you’re referring to Ferguson, completely different scenarios altogether. We are a club who regularly wins pots and reaches latter stages of competitions and competes for the league. Completely different to the then Manchester United who went for Ferguson.

I agree we’ve already made this mistake with some players.

He said that our victory at CAS was and I quote “a bad day for football”.

Knowing what I do know of Khaldoon, I’d put this close to zero in chances of happening.

I would love Klopp there would be no tippy tappy with him at the helm.

If Klopp had managed Bayern for a few years, he would also have a few more titles!

Not dismissing VK's achievements, but Bayern should be winning the title every year

Like I said in another thread, what has happened for this headline to suddenly appear?
Is it because of going out last night?
Did pep say something in his post match presser?
Because if you ask me pep looks pumped up this season.

Maybe it's because we play mardarsenal in the final and it's the usual red tops guff they usually come out with!

I'm thinking he's doing another year personally.
