Pep to leave at the end of the season

I was convinced he'd stay another season as he was building a squad capable of winning the title and having a better crack at the CL. But I sensed something was up by his body language at the end of the Brentford game. Normally Pep does applaud the fans and gives the odd wave but here he was waving to all 4 stands continuously. Did the same at Palace but not with same fervour.

Always thought with what he’s done for City that it would have been a well choreographed departure to maximise showing our appreciation , feels like he’s slipping out the back door by leaving these rumours to fester.Wish he’d confirm or deny as the confusion will be more negative than an announced, planned departure
Maybe him and Starmer don’t want to take the others limelight

Trying to sort it out

If he does leave on Sunday it will piss on Arsenal’s chips, they will have to share the headlines with Pep, obviously if we won it then even better, but going on that non red card we’ve no chance.

Give it chance. If it was only leaked and hour or two ago they're not going to start scrambling around now and issue a statement in the heat of the moment. We'll likely know something more definite tomorrow. Let's call it a night.

I’m sure the players knew this was coming I’m surprised they didn’t lock in early enough to win the league. But oh well, 10 glorious years with the Godfather of Football, reached the highest of peaks with him. I wonder what happens next, the players we sign or let go, very interested to see life after Pep

Sorry he was waving too much or too little? v Brentford or Palace? Waving enough but not enough fervour? I’m confused

Enzo Maresca has taken on what is arguably the most daunting task in modern football: succeeding Pep Guardiola, the greatest manager in the history of the game.

Maresca will find himself in the eye of a fierce media and fan storm, facing intense scrutiny from City fans and rival fans alike.

We are bound to witness glaring contradictions from pundits, journalists, and fans regarding his capabilities. This is because he isn't just replacing an ordinary coach; he is stepping into the shoes of the greatest tactician football has ever seen.

Every single match, every minor setback, and even the smallest tactical hiccup will be met with a wave of harsh criticism. However, once Maresca proves himself to be the ultimate successor to Guardiola, the narrative will inevitably and gradually begin to shift.

I noticed an edge to his press conferences in the week like he really couldn’t be arsed to be there. Spikey at all times when asked about him leaving and he looked wistful and a bit alone on the pitch at Wembley.
Contrasts hugely with his normal humour and season long enthusiasm and joy with the team and job.
