Pep to leave at the end of the season

I think the club have had tunnel vision on him from when he was assistant and his look doesn’t help either he’s basically a btec pep once we have a couple of bad results the media will absolutely destroy him
I’d say keep the faith but you appear to have very little

I’d feel a lot better about him leaving (if it’s true) if I knew Vinny was replacing him.

Wonder if we have been found guilty on the 115 charges?, Pep feels betrayed and lied to so is fuckin off, soon know for certain if he rocks up at Liverpool with pep 2, warnock, bernardo & stones in tact after dippers sack slot

I am surprisingly calm and ok with it.

Not that I don't believe it, but I will patiently wait till the club confirm it.

We have games to play and win, and a season to conclude. Pep and the players stay professional till the end, and I'll go along with that.

You could say this about whoever we brought in after Pep if they have a few bad results. If we got Alonso and he has some bad results everyone would be calling him a fraud and that he's been found out in a tougher league.

Not far off.

If Pep was staying long term, I believe Bernardo who has years left in him would have signed a new contract, Ederson playing style was instrumental in how Pep teams play so it was odd that we then signed Donnarumma. Rodri and Foden would have a new contract by now. Gvardiol, Doku and Nunes have been here 3 seasons and not got a new contract yet. 12 players that’s half the squad have only been here 18 months or less.

We could lose a lot of experienced players not just Bernardo and Stones.

Maresca if indeed he does take over then he will need to not just get players in this summer, but get a lot of players signed onto new contracts.
No offence but it’s a ludicrous suggestion. Pep, it’s reported, wanted to go the minute he won The Treble, the club persuaded him to do one more and the 4x in a row was ample motivation. He then wanted to go last year but didn’t want to leave us in the mud. He’s done another season to get us into a winning position again, where the squad can compete and he’s decided that’ll do after winning two more trophies and a nice round 20 in 10 years. He loves the club and wants to leave it in a better place he found it. He’s done that alright.

I just hope he’s still knocking around to give his thoughts on the 115 announcement and I’m glad he gets to manage a game with the new 61,000 capacity. Hopefully with everyone belting his name out.

Hoping Linders and Kolo stick around.

Pep, you’ve been here for the entirety of my thirties bare a couple of months. I was a child when you came. I’ve since bought a house, got married, got a dog, had three children, became self employed, had cancer, got better, my parents got divorced… the one constant was Pep winning trophy after trophy at City.

If this is the end then thank you for every minute, Pep
Yep, I've got married, bought a house, got divorced, ex-wife got house, got married again, and all the while Pep was winning stuff for us

Lucked out compared to you and cancer though - thank God you're better

Today, the absolute only thing that matters is x3 points. Pep will be saying absolute same to the players. He, the Club and the Players will all want to take the title to the wire and force Arsenal to have to win @ Palace on Sunday. The Club will have multiple PR plans in place for all scenarios.
For eg We win/don't win tonight./We win tonight but Arsenal win PL./We win tonight & win PL etc and on how those different scenarios impact what they say and do after tonight thru Sunday.

Now it has been confirmed that he is going it is time to say who we want as our next manager. For me it has to be Vincent Kompany. I hope I'm not being being foolish by saying this but I do think that given his history with us he would be an excellent choice. Could Pep have already spoken with him about it who knows but I'd like to think that after reaching such a big decision he would want to share it and gather thoughts on who he is handing the reins to. Such a sad time at the moment with Stones,Silva leaving and now the one who made so many good times real for us all. Thanks to them all from the bottom of my heart and like them move on and get the next man in. Vincent,Time to come home.
He’s just signed a long term deal with Bayern. He’s not available.

Lots are saying stuff like “just go and get Enrique” or “has to be Kompany” without realising they’re not available.

Maresca plays probably the closest football to Pep, if anyone available, and probably has the best CV.
