If that was the case he could have literally just said that.I took his comments as him saying - yes I’m leaving but I wasn’t going to tell anyone whilst we had the league to play for, now I’ve got people to tell in order… the chairman, the players, the staff and then it’ll be announced.
Tbh who needs this shit again next year, just shit or get off the pot, taking the piss out of the fans now.

Sky aren't interested in any Pep praise, seemingly.

To be honest I hope he now leaves. Anything else like one more year just leaves the club in a bit of a limbo. It's been an incredible 10 years and a decade we may never see the likes of again. However now I've got my head around it I'm actually looking forward to seeing what Maresca can do.
Some of the football under Pep had been blistering but it's also fair to say more recently it's been a slog with far too much sideways passing, rotation and going backwards. The same players being flogged to death whilst others are isolated. If the players are knackered why not start Cherki who hasnt been overplayed, RAN, Stones, Ake, Gvardiol, Gonzalez, give Savinho a start (and I really dont rate him but give him a chance). Our reluctance to get the ball to Haaland early is one of the most frustrating aspects of our play for me. Maybe we will get players played in their more natural positions.
I'm actually excited for next season and truth be told I'm not sure I was before. The FA cup final I was convinced we would win easily but it was another tough watch but thankfully we got the job done. Its a new blank page for Manchester City and all of us fans and maybe Maresca is hungry enough to write his own story, fight for the title and win it back. Thank you Pep you are a City Legend but C'mon Blues this is where the next chapter starts.

to say the least, mate.I am confused
he has had every opportunity to say he is leaving,
questioned many many times,
and yet he still insists he has one more year on his contract.
he just said he has to talk to the chairman and the players.
perhaps he just needs to be told he is still wanted.
who knows, but i'm not giving up on him yet.

His plans won't change or be swayed, whatever they are. It's fanciful to think otherwise.Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's having second thoughts about leaving without winning the league title.

Khaldoon always says he speaks and reviews the season when it's over. Tell him to get on with it because you're impatient. Pep also says they'll talk once it's over and see. If we have to wait and it means Pep stays, I'm happy waitingIts just fucking annoying now. Just make a clear statement.
