Pep to leave at the end of the season

Even if CFG are part-owners of The Co-op putting on an arena production still requires far more planning and lead time than simply setting up a stage and a few TV screens in a city square. That makes me think this is something they had planned long before the FA Cup win.

And yes, it could well be exactly as you said regarding the North Stand — that the construction company wants to open it in order to avoid late penalties. From the club’s perspective, though (if you set aside the fact that Sunday’s match had the potential to decide the league, as well as a possible goodbye from Pep Guardiola), I’d actually say the best option would have been to open it for the first match of next season.
Agree on the co-op.

Wrong on the stand though. From what we know about it as published.

The National (owned by HH Sheikh Mansour) understands that Guardiola will bring down the curtain on a golden decade at the club after Sunday's final Premier League game against Aston Villa, although the Catalan may even bring the announcement forward if City fail to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday.

What are they announcing? The world and his Dog know it now. In other news it rained yesterday.

It isn't clear because a decision by Pep l Khaldoon has not been made.

I think it is. Our imaginations are running wild because the void of time is there while we wait. But it seems pretty clear now, and will be confirmed soon enough.

And yes, I was until a couple days ago consistently convinced it was all nonsense and he was staying.

I think the club have been pretty clear, we have put the groundwork in for Maresca and perhaps even paid him for a contract to secure him in case Pep goes.

Pep however is either playing some weird mind games or is genuinely staying. Its all very odd.
How hard is it for Pep and the club to decide whats going on?

A mate of mine works in events, and told me that the club were only looking to book music acts for the Co-op event from Sunday, which is ridiculously last minute even by their standards. Think this has all come together at much later notice than people would expect.
Similar to this, I’ve got mates in the music industry and some of my really close mates are in a pretty big band. They were due to play at OT on the pitch on the final day when they won the league in 2013. That all changed a few days before because Ferguson was retiring. But shows how late these things can change.

Or he and the club have planned out how and when to announce it.

And now are either picking up the pieces of the media kick in the nads first, or just ignoring it and sticking with what was always planned.
