In sponsorship contracts (football or otherwise), businesses are required to notify sponsors of any change that could affect the value, reputation, visibility, or commercial impact of the deal. These clauses are standard across the industry. These include material changes, Pep leaving Manchester City is a material change.we are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
every company and his wife would love to sponsor us.
we get to pick and choose the lucky ones.
they don't get to say things like...
you must tell us in advance if the manager is leaving.
it is bullshit that this was where the story came from.
How much of our sponsorship deals are as a direct result of having the greatest manager in the world delivering 20 trophies in 10 years?
Why a sponsor leaked it is a matter for City.

I’d take what he says with a pinch of salt
